- Manages the preparation and review of US and Canada indirect tax filings and payments, including sales and use, excise, and personal property
- Develop long-term compliance strategy and spearheads in-house taxation efforts
- Support global business growth through contract review, tax optimization and advisement of taxability and rates
- Review, develop and improve tax and business processes and procedures to bolster compliance and mitigate risk
- Serves as a primary liaison to third parties assisting with tax filings, licensing requirements and notice resolution
- Manages and resolves all sales tax and personal property tax audits
- Research current and future tax regulations to determine the overall impact to the Company
- Develops and implements tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and penalties for the Company
- Maintains tax accounts and reconciliations in coordination with Accounting teams
- 6-8 years of experience in sales tax and personal property tax compliance and controversy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Tax research experience utilizing RIA Checkpoint/CCH
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Experience with Vertex, Avalara or other tax software—a plus
- Self-starter with ability to solve ambiguous and open-ended business challenge
