Entry Level Chief People Officer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level chief people officer job?
Start by building hands-on experience through HR internships, campus recruiting roles, or people operations work at small companies. Employers hiring at this level typically look for candidates who can demonstrate comfort with employee relations, basic benefits administration, or recruiting coordination. A people-focused project, volunteer HR work, or a relevant internship can offset a short resume and give you a clear edge over other entry level applicants.
Which companies hire entry level chief people officers?
Companies hiring entry level chief people officers right now include Capital One, Information Technology Senior Management Forum, and Notion, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, startups and growth-stage companies tend to hire the most, since they often need someone to build out people functions from an early stage rather than require deep prior leadership experience.
Are there remote entry level chief people officer jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 47% of entry level chief people officer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to in-person work will find the largest pool of opportunities. Filtering by location preference when searching is the fastest way to narrow down what fits your situation.
Are these new grad chief people officer jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or campus involvement toward requirements, or accepts a portfolio of people-focused work in place of a formal employment history. Look for language like "entry level," "new grad," or "no prior leadership required" in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level chief people officers?
Entry Level chief people officer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they are scaling quickly and need early-career people operations talent to support rapid headcount growth before a full senior leadership team is in place.
