Civil Designer Jobs in South Carolina

INTRODUCTION

As a Civil Designer, you'll support a variety of public infrastructure projects and learn how smart design strengthens communities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in preparing roadway, stormwater, and utility designs
- Produce drawings, plans, cost estimates, and technical documents
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and data collection
- Support senior engineers in evaluating design alternatives and solving technical challenges
- Collaborate with teams across planning, environmental, surveying, and other disciplines
- Engage in design training and mentoring activities that build technical foundation

SALARY RANGE

- Salary Range: $68,000 - $72,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of experience
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Familiarity with Civil 3D (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and curiosity about public infrastructure
