What You’ll Do
As a Civil CAD Designer, you’ll play a key role in transforming engineering concepts and survey information into complete, coordinated construction documents. You’ll work alongside engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, and project managers to move projects from initial concept through permitting and final design.
- Prepare and modify Civil 3D drawings for civil/site design, land development, and infrastructure projects
- Develop grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control plans
- Create and manage surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, corridors, and grading objects
- Prepare plan sheets, profiles, details, notes, schedules, and construction quantities
- Coordinate drawings across engineering, surveying, environmental, architectural, and utility disciplines
- Identify design conflicts, missing information, and potential constructability concerns
- Incorporate project-manager, client, and regulatory-agency review comments
- Maintain company CAD standards, drawing organization, and project file structures
- Support quality-control reviews and help ensure plans are accurate, coordinated, and ready for submission
- Assist and mentor junior CAD staff as your experience allows

- Two or more years of civil drafting or design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience preparing civil/site construction plans

- Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving mindset
