Candidate must:
- Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects
- Oversee work by taking responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates
- Communicate and coordinate with 3rd parties and the project team to aid in the design process and schedule
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects
- Participate in project coordination meetings, and activities ranging from feasibility studies to construction plan development
- Assume some project management duties and interact with clients
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience should include urban and rural corridors, interstate, interchange intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
- Preference is given to local candidates
- Positive attitude and commitment to being an advocate of the Holt team
