This Opportunity
WSP is seeking to grow its Transportation team and is currently searching for a BIM Roadway Engineer for our Lisle, IL office. Be involved at the Tollway GEC with our Civil Team to deliver BIM as a program and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The position requires strong technical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead small to large sized projects and tasks, and serve as a key technical resource on all types of innovative programs.
Your Impact
BIM Roadway Engineer who will perform engineering analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of Tollway program projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for work including BIM owners representative tasks, report and manual writing, presentations, research new technology, process development, model review, integrating BIM digital processes, and other related effort. Typical duties may include the following:
- Develop advanced knowledge of OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads ConcepStation and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Platform, including advanced modeling, template creation, drawing package management, clash detection and scripting.
- Research and provide educated evaluations to local and national engineering challenges.
- Merge sophisticated ideas to craft groundbreaking solutions for engineering issues.
- Perform complex BIM reviews of drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of transportation projects using Bentley Infrastructure Cloud.
- Support preparation of special provisions to implement innovations.
- Manage individual tasks and identify changes and risks.
- Collaborate with professionals, other engineers, planners, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, to develop new solutions to BIM problems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 7-10 years of professional experience
- 5+ years’ experience using Bentley technologies within the industry
- Bentley Basic Road Design Modeling with OpenRoads Designer
- Experience and understanding of document management applications (ProjectWise, Sharepoint, Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, Forma Docs, etc.)
- Effective communication skills with a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Coordinating committees or subcommittees
- Experience leading design tasks
- Engaged and active in industry-related professional organizations
- Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design.
- Knowledge of relevant IDOT and Tollway agency design manual, specifications, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $110,700 - $164,450
