- Set and manage client expectations around service quality, timelines, and deliverables; proactively communicate program updates, milestones, obstacles, and corrective actions.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to grow client accounts through cross-selling and up-selling additional Forge services, supporting the evolution of clients from early development into cGMP manufacturing.
- Translate client requirements and feedback into prioritized internal service and project requests; serve as the voice of the client in cross-functional discussions.
- Document, monitor, and maintain accurate program records and project timelines in CRM and project management tools.

Tips for Your Client Relations Manager Job Search
Quantify retention and revenue impact
Client relations managers are measured on outcomes, so your resume needs numbers that reflect them. Replace vague phrases like 'managed accounts' with figures showing renewal rates, upsell volume, or portfolio size so hiring managers can instantly gauge your impact.
Filter openings by account tier served
Job listings for this role vary widely between SMB, mid-market, and enterprise accounts. Target postings that match the account size you've worked with, because interviewers will probe deeply into how you handled escalations and negotiations at that specific tier.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists client relations manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Tailor your resume to CRM tools named
Many postings specify Salesforce, HubSpot, or Gainsight by name. Mirror the exact tool mentioned in the listing on your resume and be ready to walk through a specific workflow you built or managed in it during the interview.
Prepare a client-save story for interviews
Interviewers for this role almost always ask about a time you turned around a dissatisfied or at-risk client. Prepare a detailed example with the presenting problem, the steps you took, and the measurable outcome, because a vague answer here is a fast disqualifier.
Negotiate with renewal metrics in hand
When you reach the offer stage, bring data on your retention and satisfaction scores to the conversation. Client relations roles are commercial, so demonstrating your ROI gives you a factual basis for negotiating total compensation beyond base salary alone.
Client Relations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most client relations managers?
The companies hiring the most client relations managers right now include Atlantic Aviation, First American, and First American Trust, Fsb, with the largest share of openings in Florida, Michigan, and Ohio, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Industries with the densest concentration of openings include financial services, technology, and healthcare.
How many client relations manager jobs are remote?
About 25% of client relations manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting demand for relationship managers who can engage clients across geographies. Customer success and enterprise account roles within SaaS companies tend to offer the highest share of fully remote arrangements compared to relationship-heavy banking or healthcare positions.
How do you become a client relations manager?
Most client relations managers start in customer-facing roles such as account coordinator, customer support specialist, or inside sales representative, where they build communication and problem-solving skills. From there, moving into an account management role with ownership of a named client portfolio is the most common path. Developing fluency in CRM software and consistently hitting retention or satisfaction goals is what gets candidates promoted or hired into manager-level positions.
Can you get hired as a client relations manager with little experience?
Yes, entry-level client relations manager roles exist, particularly at smaller companies or in industries like software and staffing. The most effective way to compete with limited experience is to highlight any client-facing work, even from internships or adjacent roles in sales or support, and to show measurable outcomes such as response times or satisfaction scores. Familiarity with a major CRM platform strengthens applications significantly at this level.
What does the client relations manager interview process look like?
The process typically begins with a recruiter or HR screen focused on your background and availability, followed by a hiring manager interview that digs into how you manage client relationships, handle escalations, and drive renewals. A final round often involves a panel with cross-functional stakeholders or a practical exercise such as a mock client call or account review presentation. References from previous clients or managers are frequently requested before an offer is extended.
Where can I find and apply to client relations manager jobs?
You can find and apply to client relations manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Find roles that match your experience level, industry focus, and preferred location, then apply directly to each listing that fits.
