Clinical Coordinator Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical coordinator job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on Los Angeles's dense concentration of academic health systems, large specialty group practices, and clinical research organizations, particularly in Westwood, Downtown, and the Mid-Wilshire corridor. Candidates with experience in oncology, cardiology, or clinical trials coordination stand out in this market. Tailoring your application to the specific patient population or specialty of each employer gives you a meaningful edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire clinical coordinators in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring clinical coordinators in Los Angeles include UCLA Health, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and PwC, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's employer mix is unusually broad, ranging from large academic medical centers and federally qualified health centers to specialty surgery groups and pharmaceutical-sponsored trial sites.
Are there remote clinical coordinator jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though remote availability is limited for hands-on clinical roles and more common for coordinators focused on documentation, scheduling, or research data management. About 15% of clinical coordinator openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, skewing toward research coordination and care management positions. On-site patient-facing roles remain primarily in-person at local facilities.
How can I get a clinical coordinator job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is through a patient services representative or medical assistant role at one of the city's large federally qualified health centers or community clinic networks, which frequently promote from within. Volunteer or paid experience at a UCLA Health or Cedars-Sinai outpatient clinic strengthens a resume considerably. Entry-level research coordinator assistant positions at university-affiliated trial sites in Westwood or Boyle Heights are also strong starting points.
Which industries hire the most clinical coordinators in Los Angeles?
The sectors hiring the most clinical coordinators in Los Angeles are Healthcare & Medical Services, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's combination of major academic medical centers, a large biotech and pharmaceutical research presence, and one of the country's largest safety-net hospital systems drives consistently high demand across all three sectors.
