Clinical Data Manager Jobs in Idaho: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical data manager in Idaho?
Clinical data manager roles in Idaho do not require a state-issued license, so the path centers on education and certification. Most Idaho employers expect a bachelor's degree in life sciences, health informatics, nursing, or a closely related field. Earning the Certified Clinical Data Manager credential from the Society for Clinical Data Management strengthens your application considerably. Candidates who build hands-on experience with CDISC standards and clinical trial software at Idaho research hospitals or biotech firms are best positioned for full manager roles.
Which companies hire clinical data managers in Idaho?
Companies currently hiring clinical data managers in Idaho include Micron Technology, Clearwater Analytics (CWAN), and Simplot Company, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Idaho's concentration of healthcare systems, biotech research facilities, and contract research organizations in the Treasure Valley creates recurring demand for this role across the state.
Which Idaho cities have the most clinical data manager jobs?
Boise, Idaho, and Meridian have the most clinical data manager openings in Idaho. Boise drives the largest share of postings as the state's primary healthcare and technology hub, home to major health systems and growing life sciences firms, while Nampa and Idaho Falls contribute openings tied to regional hospital networks and research institutions that support ongoing clinical programs.
Are there remote clinical data manager jobs in Idaho?
Yes, and more than most fields, because clinical data management is fundamentally a desk-based and analytical discipline that does not require physical presence at a clinical site. About 40% of clinical data manager openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader industry trends toward distributed data teams. Database management, discrepancy resolution, and protocol review are the tasks most consistently performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a clinical data manager in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a clinical data coordinator or data entry associate role at an Idaho health system or contract research organization in the Treasure Valley. St. Luke's Health System and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center both hire research coordinators who work directly with clinical data teams and gain the trial operations exposure employers want. Completing the CCDM examination or an accredited clinical research associate program while in a coordinator role gives candidates a measurable credential edge when applying for manager-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to clinical data manager jobs in Idaho?
You can find and apply to clinical data manager jobs in Idaho on Migrate Mate, which lists current Idaho openings in one place. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and location preferences, and apply directly to the ones that match.
