Clinical Data Specialist Jobs in Scottsdale: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical data specialist job in Scottsdale?
Focus your search on Scottsdale's clinical research organizations, health systems anchored around the Scottsdale Airpark and McDowell Road corridors, and the growing number of life sciences firms in South Scottsdale. Candidates with hands-on experience in EDC systems like Medidata Rave or Oracle Inform and familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance stand out most with local employers. Networking through Arizona clinical research associations also gives candidates a tangible edge in this mid-sized but competitive market.
Which companies hire clinical data specialists in Scottsdale?
Scottsdale clinical data specialist roles are posted by Early Warning Services, SSOE, and Axon and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is a mix of dedicated contract research organizations, hospital-affiliated research institutes, and specialty pharma and medical device companies that maintain Scottsdale operations.
Are there remote clinical data specialist jobs in Scottsdale?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: data review, coding, and database quality work are commonly done remotely, while on-site clinical operations support typically requires in-person presence. About 90% of clinical data specialist openings tied to Scottsdale are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the analytical nature of much of the work. Data management and biostatistics-adjacent roles posted by Scottsdale employers tend to offer the most scheduling flexibility.
How can I get a clinical data specialist job in Scottsdale with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Scottsdale is through a clinical data coordinator or data entry associate role at one of the city's contract research organizations or hospital research departments, particularly those affiliated with HonorHealth or Mayo Clinic's Scottsdale campus.
