At Valley Wound Care Specialists, we help patients heal wounds that other places couldn’t. Our patients see real progress from week to week, and our team gets to be part of it. We’re looking for a Patient Care Tech / MA who likes being on their feet, working closely with providers, and making patients feel cared for.
If you’re an MA, or you’re working toward a career in medicine, nursing, PA school, podiatry, or another healthcare field, this job will give you clinical experience you can’t get from a textbook.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Rooming patients and taking vitals
- Performing individual patient care procedures as directed by our providers
- Applying compression wraps (we’ll make you a pro)
- Assisting providers with in-office procedures and treatments
- Keeping treatment rooms stocked, organized, and ready for the next patient
What You Bring
- A completed medical terminology course (required)
- MA certification or MA program completion (preferred)
- Hands-on patient care experience (a big plus)
- A sharp eye for detail and a good bedside manner
- Readiness to start right away
Let’s Talk Pay
Pay starts at $17.00/hour and is based on experience. After you complete the 90-day probationary period and your competencies, you’ll be eligible for an increase to $19.00/hour or more, depending on experience.
The Schedule You’ll Love
For your first two weeks, you’ll train Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. After that, you’ll move to a four-day work week of 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), with the same day off every week and no weekends, ever.
