Clinical Nurse Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical nurse job in Jacksonville?
Focus your search on Jacksonville's largest hiring corridors: the Southside medical corridor along Philips Highway, the Downtown Medical District near UF Health, and the growing network of outpatient clinics in the Beaches and Mandarin areas. Acute care hospitals, specialty surgery centers, and pediatric facilities drive the most openings. Candidates with telemetry, emergency, or ICU experience move fastest, and bilingual skills are an edge given the region's diverse patient population.
Which companies hire clinical nurses in Jacksonville?
Companies currently hiring clinical nurses in Jacksonville include Fresenius Medical Care, Ascension, and DaVita, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Jacksonville's employer mix leans heavily toward large health systems, community hospitals, and a growing number of ambulatory surgery and urgent care networks serving the city's expanding suburban corridors.
Are there remote clinical nurse jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though remote opportunities are limited since most clinical nurse roles require hands-on patient care and on-site presence. About 25% of clinical nurse openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote roles most common in care management, utilization review, and telehealth triage functions linked to Jacksonville's larger health systems.
How can I get a clinical nurse job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is through nurse residency or new-graduate programs offered by the city's large acute care health systems, which regularly recruit recent graduates into structured cohorts. Community health clinics, long-term care facilities, and outpatient primary care practices in the Westside and Northside neighborhoods also hire entry-level nurses. Completing clinical rotations at a Jacksonville facility and pursuing BLS or ACLS certification before applying strengthens any new-graduate application considerably.
Which industries hire the most clinical nurses in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville clinical nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Jacksonville's position as Northeast Florida's regional medical hub, anchored by major academic medical centers and a large military and veteran health infrastructure, keeps sustained demand across those sectors.
