ADP Technology Services, Inc. is hiring a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in our Alpharetta, Georgia location.

- Responsibilities. Responsible for implementing automated methods and industry best practices for consistent installation and configuration for production and non-production environments. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Product Managers, Architects, Developers, Service Managers, and Scrum Masters) to gather requirements and engineer software solutions that meet business needs. Develop highly available database systems that can sustain operational and disaster scenarios. Eliminate technical debt across database infrastructure, and research, recommend and introduce new technologies and new uses of existing technologies partnering with development partners and other subject matter experts. Optimize the database infrastructure by proactively gathering necessary metrics to analyze and forecast the database resources. Partner with application, development, and infrastructure teams to identify critical changes required for database infrastructure upgrades and migrations. Work in coalition with infrastructure, change management teams to schedule database infra changes without any disruption to ADP applications. Identify and provide solutions that automate all aspects of planning, provisioning, and maintaining database infrastructure. Draw upon his experience with data modeling, data architecture, database infrastructure architecture, and design and implementation for RDBMS. Develop database config management tools to track database config deviations and drift management for mission critical db instances.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, related Engineering disciplines, or related field of study plus two (2) years of related experience required.
- Work Experience. Two (2) years of experience must include: Data modelling; Data architecture; Database infrastructure architecture; Design and implementation for RDBMS; Shell scripting; Cloud technologies; RHEL and Linux environments; GIT cloud repository; NoSQL Data Structures; MongoDB; AWS Public cloud; Python; and Lambda functions.
