We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux admin to work with our dynamic team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud environments, an understanding of cloud services, and a strong Linux command line understanding. Looking for candidates with some variety of the skills listed below
Responsibilities:
Workstation and Server support:
- Local Linux Desktop support
- Remote Linux Server cloud-based server support
- Support local and remote “Cloud-in-a-box” infrastructure (Nutanix)
- Comfortable with hardware deployments and troubleshooting
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and Maintain cloud-based resources (AWS)
- IPA
- Puppet
- Ansible
- Documentation
Network support:
- Support troubleshooting efforts for our cloud base network infrastructure
- Support/troubleshoot local network issues
- Help configure network switches and settings for deployed hardware.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP) – must have or willing to get within 1-2 months of starting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- +/- 10 - 12 years of experience in server/desktop Linux system administration and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies
- Willingness to learn new technologies
Desired:
- Knowledge of Puppet, IPA, and Kubernetes
- Juniper and/or Cisco Switch experience
- Experience or understanding of “Cloud-in-a-Box” Solutions such as Nutanix
- Experience with Proxmox
- Experience with Ansible and scripting
- Experience with Packer kickstarts and AMI creation yeah Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to support provisioning cloud and on-prem resources (Terraform, CloudFormation)
