About us: Aeva’s mission is to bring the next wave of perception to a broad range of applications from automated driving to industrial robotics, consumer electronics, consumer health, security, and beyond. Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking sensing and perception technology that integrates all key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip in a compact module. Aeva 4D LiDAR sensors uniquely detect instant velocity in addition to 3D position, allowing autonomous devices like vehicles and robots to make more intelligent and safe decisions.
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Technical Program Manager specializing in Lidar assembly and PCBA fabrication to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Program Manager you will play a crucial role coordinating with the test engineering team and contract manufacturers in ensuring the production lines for NPI and mass production meet product quality, delivery, cost and reliability of our Lidar product. Your expertise in mechanical assembly, adhesive dispense, SMT processes, optical assemblies, GR&R, equipment maintenance and calibration, failure analysis, OCAP, statistical process control and manufacturing execution system (MES) software will be vital in driving our manufacturing processes towards excellence.
What you'll be doing:
- Bring up Lidar assembly line from NPI phase to mass production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to define project scopes and objectives.
- Develop equipment and processes with contract manufacturer (CM) that meet product design specifications.
- Develop and analyze line design with contract manufacturer to meet annual production targets.
- Develop and track Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) metrics. Identify gaps and corrective actions needed to bridge to target performance.
- Manage BOM for production ramp and mass production.
- Collaborate with engineering and CM to install assembly line equipment, perform GR&R analysis, review work instructions and operator training requirements, and track yield, line availability and takt time.
- Drive DFM/DFA/DFT and PFMEA to ensure production manufacturability.
- Establish yield tracking / reporting methodology and drive corrective actions with engineering and CM. Identify yield bridge to line targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing, and quality assurance to troubleshoot issues and improve product performance.
- Ensure on time delivery from NPI through mass production.
- Drive the development and implementation of automation and line scaling supporting production volume projections.
- Manage quality in the line by routinely monitoring KPIs and present reports to operations and management teams.
- Prepare roadmap and capacity plans for product ramp and next-gen NPI.
What you'll have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical engineering, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience with TeamCenter, Jira, and Confluence.
- Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, using statistical techniques and software tools such as JMP.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Experience with Engineering Change Orders and Product LifeCycle management.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing / technical operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience with LiDAR systems.
- SolidWorks experience.
What's in it for you:
- Be part of a fast paced and dynamic team.
- Very competitive compensation and meaningful equity.
- Exceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more.
- Unlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching timecard.

Job Roles at Aeva Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Aeva Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles in sensing and autonomous systems engineering
Aeva's core product line revolves around lidar technology and perception software. Engineers with backgrounds in signal processing, computer vision, or embedded systems are most likely to find sponsored roles that align with Aeva's active hiring focus.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every technology company that posts jobs will actually sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time and focusing your energy on employers like Aeva that have a demonstrated track record.
Align your resume to deep tech hardware and software experience
Aeva operates at the intersection of photonics, semiconductor design, and autonomy software. Candidates who can speak to low-level hardware integration or real-time perception systems are better positioned for roles that realistically lead to visa sponsorship.
Apply early in the calendar year to align with H-1B timelines
H-1B petitions must be filed by April for an October start date. If you're targeting Aeva for H-1B sponsorship, securing an offer by January or February gives both you and the employer enough runway to prepare a strong petition on time.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aeva sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Aeva sponsors H-1B visas. As a technology company working on advanced lidar and sensing systems, Aeva regularly hires specialized engineers and technical professionals who require H-1B sponsorship. The company has an active sponsorship track record, so H-1B candidates with relevant expertise in areas like computer vision, photonics, or autonomy software are worth applying.
Which visa types does Aeva sponsor?
Aeva sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. This range covers both temporary work authorization and pathways to permanent residency, which is relatively uncommon at a company of Aeva's size. F-1 OPT holders and TN visa holders from Canada and Mexico are within scope, making Aeva a genuinely accessible employer for international candidates at various stages of their immigration journey.
What departments or roles at Aeva are most likely to be sponsored?
Sponsorship at Aeva is concentrated in highly technical roles tied to its core product areas: lidar hardware engineering, perception and autonomy software, signal processing, and systems integration. Roles requiring specialized knowledge in photonics or real-time embedded systems are strong candidates for visa support. General business, sales, or operations positions are less likely to lead to sponsorship based on the company's hiring profile.
How do I find currently open sponsored jobs at Aeva?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find open, visa-sponsoring roles at Aeva. The platform filters by verified sponsorship history, so you're only seeing companies with a real track record of filing visas, not just those that claim to be open to sponsorship. Search for Aeva directly or browse by visa type to find roles that fit your authorization status.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Aeva?
Aeva's sponsorship activity is concentrated in deep technical disciplines, so candidates with highly specific skills in areas like lidar systems, FMCW sensing, or autonomous perception have the strongest positioning. Demonstrate hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and be prepared to articulate how your background supports Aeva's product roadmap. Applying early in the year also helps align your timeline with the H-1B filing window.
