Frame your portfolio around financial content
Affirm's content team produces consumer-facing copy, product education, and regulatory-adjacent messaging. Curate writing samples that show you can translate complex financial concepts into plain language before you apply.
Verify your OPT or CPT timeline early
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT expiration date before targeting roles. Affirm's hiring cycles can run eight to twelve weeks, so starting outreach with fewer than four months of work authorization remaining creates unnecessary pressure.
Target roles explicitly listing content strategy
Affirm posts Content Specialist roles across growth, brand, and product marketing teams. Positions mentioning content strategy or lifecycle messaging are more likely to sit inside teams with established sponsorship workflows than standalone editorial contracts.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
When Affirm extends an offer, ask directly whether the role supports H-1B filing and whether the company covers premium processing. Getting this confirmed in writing before you accept avoids misaligned expectations if your current status has a short runway.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Affirm openings
Affirm's Content Specialist postings cycle in and out quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Affirm roles that explicitly support your visa type so you apply when sponsorship-eligible positions are actually open.

Find Content Specialist at Affirm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Affirm sponsor H-1B visas for Content Specialists?
Yes, Affirm has a consistent track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Content Specialist roles. The company operates in a regulated fintech environment where specialized content professionals are recognized as qualifying for specialty occupation status. Your degree field should align with the role, typically communications, English, marketing, or a related discipline, to support the H-1B petition.
Which visa types does Affirm commonly support for Content Specialist roles?
Affirm supports H-1B transfers and new cap-subject filings, F-1 OPT and CPT for students still in their academic programs, and TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term permanent residency, Affirm has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for content professionals through the PERM process with DOL.
How do I apply for Content Specialist jobs at Affirm?
Start by browsing Affirm's careers page and filtering for content or marketing roles. Tailor your application to highlight fintech or financial services writing experience, since Affirm's content team works closely with product and compliance. You can also use Migrate Mate to monitor Affirm's Content Specialist openings filtered by visa sponsorship type so you apply to roles that match your authorization status.
What qualifications does Affirm expect for Content Specialist positions?
Affirm typically looks for a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or English, combined with demonstrable experience producing consumer-facing content. Familiarity with fintech, lending products, or regulated financial messaging is a meaningful differentiator. Strong candidates usually bring a portfolio showing they can balance brand voice with compliance-aware language, since Affirm operates under financial services oversight.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and USCIS filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registrations each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, you need your application, offer, and petition timeline to align with that window. Affirm typically begins headcount planning in the fall and winter, so targeting their Content Specialist roles between November and February gives you the best chance of having an offer in place before the registration period opens.
