Frame Your PM Credentials Around Field Deployments
Aggreko's project work involves deploying temporary power and temperature control solutions to industrial sites on tight timelines. Tailor your resume to show experience managing logistics-heavy, multi-site programs rather than purely office-based project portfolios.
Research Which Aggreko Regions Sponsor Most Actively
Aggreko operates across energy, events, and utilities sectors in the U.S., and sponsorship activity tends to cluster around regions with active industrial and infrastructure projects. Prioritize applying to roles tied to those operational hubs rather than applying broadly.
Clarify OPT or TN Status Early With Your Recruiter
For F-1 OPT candidates, your 12-month cap starts immediately on hire, so ask the recruiter during initial screening whether Aggreko intends to file an H-1B petition before your OPT expires. TN candidates should confirm the role qualifies under the engineer or management consultant category before accepting an offer.
Get Your PMP Certification Before the Interview Stage
Program manager roles in the Rental and Leasing sector typically require formal project management credentials. Holding an active PMP certification signals to Aggreko's hiring team that you won't need ramp-up time, which strengthens the case for sponsorship investment on a candidate.
Confirm the Specialty Occupation Determination Before H-1B Filing
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning the position must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. For project and program manager roles, ensure your offer letter describes duties that clearly tie to engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Roles by Sponsorship Type
Aggreko posts Project Program Manager openings across multiple locations at various times of year. Use Migrate Mate to filter Aggreko's open roles specifically by the visa type that applies to your situation, so you target positions where your status is already a known fit.

Find Project Program Manager at Aggreko JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aggreko sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Aggreko has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, so confirm intent with your recruiter before advancing in the process. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, timing your application cycle and confirming your employer's willingness to file in the March registration window matters.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Aggreko?
Applications go through Aggreko's careers portal directly. You can also browse current Project Program Manager openings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to identify which roles are open to international candidates. Tailor your application to highlight multi-site project delivery experience relevant to temporary power or industrial energy environments.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at Aggreko?
Aggreko sponsors H-1B visas for longer-term placements and accepts F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for eligible roles. TN visas are also accepted, making this a viable path for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications align with the role's specialty occupation classification. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree, and how long you need work authorization.
What qualifications does Aggreko expect for a Project Program Manager?
Aggreko typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience managing complex, logistics-driven projects. Experience in the Rental and Leasing, energy, or utilities sector is an advantage. A PMP or equivalent certification strengthens your profile, particularly when the company is evaluating candidates who also require immigration sponsorship.
How do I time my application given H-1B processing and project deadlines?
H-1B petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date, and USCIS registration opens in March. If you receive an offer after April without current H-1B status, you will need OPT, TN, or another bridge authorization to start work while waiting for the next cap season. Discuss your status timeline with Aggreko's HR team before signing an offer letter.
