Frame your credentials around distribution operations
Applied Industrial Technologies serves industrial distribution clients, so your resume should highlight process improvement, supply chain efficiency, or warehouse optimization work. A degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering with relevant project experience positions you clearly for their client-facing roles.
Target roles with multi-site or regional scope
Postings that mention regional accounts or multi-site support tend to reflect longer-term headcount needs, which correlates with employer willingness to invest in permanent sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 PERM filings rather than short-cycle contract work.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 eligibility early
Both pathways require a DOL-approved PERM labor certification. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers professionals with a four-year degree. Knowing which applies to you helps you ask the right questions before accepting an offer.
Ask about sponsorship scope during interviews
Some employers sponsor only PERM-based Green Card filings, not H-1B transfers. Confirm whether Applied Industrial Technologies will support an H-1B petition or a change of status before your offer stage, so you're not navigating a gap in work authorization mid-process.
Verify your work authorization timeline against PERM processing
PERM labor certification currently takes 12 to 18 months at DOL before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition. If your current status has less runway than that, discuss bridge options with the hiring team before your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
Searching for sponsoring employers manually across job boards is slow and unreliable. Use Migrate Mate to filter Applied Industrial Technologies openings by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying to roles where your immigration needs are already accounted for.

Find Industrial Engineer at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Industrial Engineers?
Applied Industrial Technologies primarily sponsors Industrial Engineers through permanent residence pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card filings via the PERM labor certification process. If you're currently on an H-1B held by another employer, you'd need to confirm whether the company is willing to file an H-1B transfer petition, as sponsorship practices can vary by role and business unit.
How do I apply for Industrial Engineer jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can search for open Industrial Engineer positions directly on the Applied Industrial Technologies careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight industrial distribution, operations consulting, or supply chain engineering experience, since those align most closely with the company's client base.
Which visa types are commonly used for Industrial Engineer roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The primary sponsorship pathway for Industrial Engineers at Applied Industrial Technologies is employment-based permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3 classification. These require a DOL-approved PERM labor certification followed by an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS. Candidates with an advanced degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering may qualify for EB-2, while those with a four-year bachelor's degree typically file under EB-3.
What qualifications does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for sponsored Industrial Engineer roles?
Expect a bachelor's degree or higher in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering as a baseline. Roles tied to consulting services clients often prioritize experience in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, as well as familiarity with supply chain or distribution environments. Relevant internship or full-time experience in industrial distribution settings strengthens your profile considerably for sponsored positions.
How long does the sponsorship process take for Industrial Engineers at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The PERM labor certification stage alone typically takes 12 to 18 months at DOL under current processing times, after which USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs may add further wait time before you can file for adjustment of status. Starting this conversation with your employer well before your current work authorization expires is essential.
