Verify Your Metrology Credentials Transfer Correctly
NCSL International or ASQ Certified Calibration Technician credentials carry weight with Applied Industrial Technologies hiring managers. Confirm your certifications are current and that your documentation reflects U.S.-recognized standards before submitting any application.
Target Locations with Active Technical Hiring
Applied Industrial Technologies operates service centers across dozens of states. Focus your search on regions with industrial manufacturing density, where calibration demand is highest and the company is more likely to have open headcount and sponsorship budget approved.
Clarify Sponsorship Intent Before Accepting an Offer
During the offer stage, confirm whether the role is approved for employment-based sponsorship. Applied Industrial Technologies has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for technical roles, so ask HR directly which category they intend to file under and what the expected PERM timeline looks like.
Build a Portfolio Around Traceable Measurement Work
Calibration roles at Applied Industrial Technologies involve ISO 17025-aligned work. Document your hands-on experience with instrument traceability, uncertainty budgets, and calibration software systems. This evidence supports both your job application and any future PERM labor certification filing with the DOL.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Calibration Roles
Applied Industrial Technologies posts Calibration Technician openings frequently across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter these roles by sponsorship history so you're applying to positions where the company has actually sponsored candidates in this function before.
Understand the EB-3 Timeline Before Your Start Date
EB-3 sponsorship for a Calibration Technician role involves PERM recruitment, an I-140 petition, and then waiting on your priority date. If your country of birth has a backlogged visa bulletin date, confirm your situation with USCIS's Visa Bulletin before assuming permanent residence is imminent.

Find Calibration Technician at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Calibration Technicians?
Calibration Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies are typically classified as skilled trades positions rather than specialty occupations under H-1B criteria, which requires a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge. The company's sponsorship activity for this role has historically centered on employment-based immigrant visa categories rather than H-1B. If you hold H-1B status and are exploring a transition into this role, confirm the specialty occupation classification with the hiring team before proceeding.
Which visa types are commonly used for Calibration Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for Calibration Technicians. EB-3 is the more common pathway for skilled worker roles requiring at least two years of training or experience. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate exceptional requirements. Both pathways involve PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before the employer can submit an I-140 petition to USCIS.
How do I apply for Calibration Technician jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can search and apply for Calibration Technician openings directly through Applied Industrial Technologies' careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which aggregates roles by sponsorship history so you can identify positions where the company has an established track record. When applying, highlight experience with traceable calibration systems, ISO 17025 environments, and any relevant ASQ or NCSL certifications. Tailoring your resume to the specific instruments and industries Applied Industrial Technologies serves in its distribution and services network strengthens your application.
What qualifications does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for Calibration Technician roles?
Applied Industrial Technologies generally expects candidates to have hands-on experience calibrating measurement instruments such as torque tools, pressure gauges, dimensional gauges, and electrical test equipment. Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards, measurement uncertainty, and calibration management software is commonly required. Formal credentials from ASQ or NCSL International strengthen your profile. Roles in industrial distribution and professional services contexts often prioritize field calibration experience alongside laboratory work.
How do I estimate the timeline for employment-based sponsorship at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Once an employer agrees to sponsor, the PERM labor certification process with the DOL typically takes six to twelve months before an I-140 petition can be filed with USCIS. After I-140 approval, your wait for a Green Card depends on your country of birth and the current Visa Bulletin priority date. Nationals of countries without significant backlog can see total timelines of two to four years. Indian and Chinese nationals face longer waits due to per-country limits under current immigration law.
