Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Outside Sales Representative Jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies Jobs
Frame your technical background for industrial sales
Applied Industrial Technologies sells bearings, power transmission, and fluid power products. Employers sponsoring Outside Sales roles under EB-2 or EB-3 expect candidates whose credentials connect directly to industrial or mechanical applications, not general sales experience.
Target territories with open requisitions early
Applied Industrial Technologies posts Outside Sales Representative roles by region. Identifying territories with active openings before you apply signals genuine fit and gives hiring managers a concrete reason to initiate a sponsorship conversation rather than default to local candidates.
Understand when PERM labor certification applies
EB-3 sponsorship for Outside Sales roles typically requires DOL PERM labor certification, which can add a year or more to your timeline. Clarify with the recruiter whether they're filing EB-2 or EB-3, since the processing path and your wait time differ significantly.
Get your offer letter reviewed before signing
Outside Sales offers often include variable compensation structures. USCIS and DOL require prevailing wage compliance for sponsored roles, so review whether the base salary alone meets the certified wage level, not just total on-target earnings.
Build a pipeline of similar industrial distributors
Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors selectively for this function. Broadening your search to other industrial distribution and MRO companies in parallel keeps your job search moving while you wait for responses from your primary target.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsorship-verified openings
Finding Outside Sales Representative roles where Applied Industrial Technologies is actively hiring sponsored positions takes more than a standard job board search. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring employers in industrial distribution and professional services.

Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Outside Sales Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Outside Sales Representatives has centered on permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant status. Outside Sales roles in industrial distribution are generally classified as specialty occupations requiring a directly related degree, which can satisfy H-1B criteria, but you should confirm the company's current stance with their HR or immigration team during the interview process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Outside Sales Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The most common sponsorship pathways for Outside Sales Representatives at Applied Industrial Technologies are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which lead to a Green Card. EB-3 is typically used for roles requiring a bachelor's degree and involves DOL PERM labor certification. EB-2 applies when the position requires an advanced degree or the candidate can demonstrate exceptional ability. Neither pathway authorizes work while the petition is pending unless you already hold separate work authorization.
What qualifications and experience does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for Outside Sales Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically looks for candidates with a background in industrial sales, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field. Familiarity with bearings, power transmission components, fluid power systems, or MRO product lines is a strong differentiator. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline generally supports both the role requirements and the sponsorship eligibility criteria under EB-2 or EB-3 classifications.
How long does the sponsorship and visa process take for this role?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the timeline starts with DOL PERM labor certification, which takes roughly six to twelve months under normal processing. After approval, the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS, followed by adjustment of status or consular processing. Total timelines vary significantly depending on your country of birth, with some nationalities facing multi-year backlogs due to per-country Green Card limits. Start the conversation with your employer early in the offer stage.
How do I apply for Outside Sales Representative jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can search for Outside Sales Representative openings at Applied Industrial Technologies directly through their careers page, filtering by territory or region. For a faster way to identify which postings are tied to active visa sponsorship, browse Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with documented sponsorship histories. When you apply, clearly communicate your work authorization status and timeline upfront so the hiring team can align expectations before moving you through their process.
