Frame your industrial sales credentials early
Applied Industrial Technologies hires for territory-based sales roles requiring demonstrable B2B experience. Before applying, document your quota attainment history, client portfolio size, and any technical product knowledge in industrial or manufacturing sectors to strengthen your profile.
Target open territories with high turnover
Applied Industrial Technologies posts Sales Representative roles across dozens of geographic territories. Prioritize locations where openings reappear frequently, as those territories signal active hiring and a greater likelihood the manager is motivated to move quickly through an offer.
Understand how EB-2 and EB-3 differ for sales roles
Sales Representative positions at Applied Industrial Technologies have been sponsored under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-3 is more common for roles requiring a bachelor's degree without exceptional ability claims, so confirm with your employer which category they intend to file under before PERM begins.
Ask about PERM timing before accepting an offer
PERM labor certification requires DOL to advertise the role and confirm no qualified U.S. workers are available. That process can take a year or longer before USCIS ever sees a petition, so clarifying the employer's intended filing timeline upfront protects your planning.
Align your degree field to the posted job requirements
PERM filings require the employer to list specific minimum qualifications. If your degree is in a field adjacent to business or sales, confirm the job posting's stated requirements match your credentials before the role is advertised, since changes after PERM advertising restarts the clock.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Searching for sponsoring employers in industrial distribution is time-consuming without the right filter. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Sales Representative openings at Applied Industrial Technologies and similar companies that have an active sponsorship history for this role type.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Sales Representative roles has focused on permanent residency pathways rather than H-1B visa. If you're currently on an H-1B and targeting this company, confirm directly with their HR team whether they'd be willing to transfer your petition, since their filing history for this role type skews toward Green Card sponsorship.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored Sales Representatives through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which require PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor. EB-3 is the more typical pathway for sales roles requiring a bachelor's degree and relevant work experience, while EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or equivalent.
What qualifications and experience does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for Sales Representatives?
Most Sales Representative openings at Applied Industrial Technologies require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with B2B sales experience, ideally in industrial distribution or manufacturing. Familiarity with territory management, technical product knowledge, and CRM-driven pipeline management strengthens your application considerably given the company's industrial customer base.
How do I apply for Sales Representative jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse and apply for Sales Representative openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with verified sponsorship history. Applied Industrial Technologies posts roles across multiple U.S. territories, so searching by location helps you match openings to where you're able or willing to relocate, which improves your chances of progressing quickly.
How do I plan my timeline if Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors my Green Card?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically takes one to two years from labor certification through USCIS petition approval, not counting priority date wait times if your country of birth is backlogged. If you're on a work visa with a fixed expiration, raise the sponsorship conversation with your hiring manager well before your status needs renewal to avoid gaps in work authorization.
