Align your credentials to EB-2 or EB-3 requirements
Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors through employment-based Green Card categories, so confirming whether your qualifications meet EB-2 advanced degree standards or EB-3 skilled worker criteria before applying shapes how you present your background in every application document.
Target branch and distribution center postings
Applied Industrial Technologies hires Technicians across regional service centers and distribution branches. Postings tied to specific facilities often reflect genuine workforce gaps, which strengthens the employer's case when filing a PERM labor certification with DOL.
Prepare documentation showing hands-on technical specialization
For PERM-based sponsorship, DOL requires the employer to demonstrate the role requires specific qualifications. Organizing your certifications, apprenticeship records, and equipment-specific training history in advance makes it easier to support that requirement during filing.
Ask about sponsorship explicitly during the offer stage
Technician offers at Applied Industrial Technologies can move quickly through field recruitment channels. Confirming sponsorship intent before background checks begin prevents delays, since PERM recruitment documentation must reflect the position as advertised.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Technician roles with sponsorship history
Filtering by company and role category on Migrate Mate surfaces Applied Industrial Technologies positions tied to verified sponsorship activity, saving you from applying to postings where sponsorship has never been offered for this function.
Factor PERM and I-140 timelines into your work authorization planning
Green Card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 filing with USCIS takes longer than nonimmigrant visa processing. If you're currently on OPT or another time-limited status, aligning your application timeline with those processing windows reduces gaps in your work authorization.

Find Technician at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Technician roles is concentrated in employment-based Green Card categories rather than the H-1B. Technician positions typically fall under skilled trades classifications, which align more naturally with EB-3 skilled worker requirements than H-1B specialty occupation criteria. If you're targeting this company, preparing for a Green Card pathway is the more practical approach.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Technician sponsorship at Applied Industrial Technologies runs primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. EB-3 is the more common fit for skilled technician work, covering roles that require at least two years of training or experience. EB-2 applies if the position requires an advanced degree or the candidate can demonstrate exceptional ability in their field.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically looks for candidates with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, bearing and power transmission systems, fluid power, or related mechanical disciplines. Vocational training, technical certifications, and documented equipment-specific experience carry significant weight. For sponsored roles, your credentials also need to satisfy DOL's PERM requirements, meaning your qualifications must genuinely match what the posted position requires.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse current Technician openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions with verified sponsorship history for this role type. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight technical specializations relevant to Applied Industrial Technologies' product lines, including bearings, fluid power, and industrial automation. Following up with the regional hiring team after submitting your application can help in a decentralized hiring structure like theirs.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Technician role at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM and I-140 filing with USCIS generally takes one to three years from the start of the DOL recruitment process through I-140 approval, not counting any priority date backlog for your country of birth. PERM alone can take six to eighteen months depending on DOL processing volumes. Planning your work authorization timeline around these windows is critical if you're currently on a status with an expiration date.
