Frame your credentials around specialty occupation standards
Business Development Manager roles must qualify as specialty occupations for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship. Document how your degree directly relates to industrial distribution, supply chain strategy, or B2B sales engineering, not just general business.
Target Applied Industrial Technologies' regional hiring patterns
Applied Industrial Technologies fills Business Development Manager roles across distributed service territories, not just corporate hubs. Search open postings by region and prioritize markets where they show consistent hiring activity rather than one-off openings.
Distinguish yourself with industrial distribution knowledge
Hiring managers at Applied Industrial Technologies expect candidates who understand MRO products, fluid power systems, or rotating equipment. Demonstrating that fluency in your resume and interviews signals you can carry a quota without an extended onboarding period.
Browse visa-sponsoring Business Development Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Development Manager openings specifically at employers with confirmed EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history. This surfaces Applied Industrial Technologies listings alongside comparable companies in industrial services.
Clarify PERM timeline expectations before accepting an offer
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship for Business Development Manager roles requires PERM labor certification, which typically takes 12 to 18 months before the I-140 petition stage. Confirm with the recruiter that the company's legal team handles PERM filings in-house or through retained counsel.
Align your offer negotiation with the PERM prevailing wage requirement
DOL requires the offered wage to meet the prevailing wage for your job title and work location before certifying a PERM application. If your offer falls at the lower end, it can complicate or delay the filing, so negotiate with that floor in mind.

Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Managers?
Applied Industrial Technologies' documented sponsorship activity for Business Development Manager roles has been through employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, you may be able to transfer to Applied Industrial Technologies while your Green Card sponsorship is initiated, but confirm this approach with an immigration attorney before accepting an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development Manager roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored Business Development Managers through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. EB-2 suits candidates with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers professionals with a standard bachelor's degree. Your eligibility depends on your education, the specific role requirements, and your country of birth's priority date.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Business Development Manager roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically expects Business Development Manager candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated B2B sales experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or technical services. Familiarity with MRO product lines, power transmission components, or fluid power systems strengthens your application. Territory management experience and a track record of quota attainment are consistently weighted heavily in this hiring process.
How do I apply for Business Development Manager jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can find and apply for Business Development Manager openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles at employers with confirmed visa sponsorship history. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight industrial sector experience and any technical product knowledge. Follow up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship eligibility early in the process, before reaching the offer stage.
How do I plan my timeline around an employment-based Green Card filing at Applied Industrial Technologies?
From the time your employer initiates PERM, the full process through I-140 approval typically takes two to three years, and waiting for a visa number to become current can extend that significantly depending on your country of birth. Start the conversation about sponsorship timing during offer negotiation, not after onboarding. USCIS and DOL processing times fluctuate, so build contingency into any status-dependent decisions like OPT expiration or grace period deadlines.
