Frame your portfolio around industrial consulting outcomes
Applied Industrial Technologies operates in a consulting and professional services context, so your portfolio should emphasize projects where your technical leadership drove measurable client or operational results, not just internal engineering wins.
Target open roles across multiple locations
Development Manager openings at Applied Industrial Technologies are distributed across regions. Applying to multiple locations increases your chances of landing with a hiring team that has active sponsorship budget and a current workforce need.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 before your offer conversation
Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for this role. Know which category your qualifications fit before negotiations start. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers professionals with a standard bachelor's degree.
Confirm PERM sponsorship intent during late-stage interviews
The PERM labor certification process requires employer commitment well before filing. Raise sponsorship directly when you reach the offer stage, not after signing. Ask whether the company initiates PERM for Development Managers on a defined timeline after hire.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for active Development Manager openings
Sponsorship-eligible roles at large employers often go unfilled because applicants filter themselves out early. Search Migrate Mate specifically for Applied Industrial Technologies Development Manager postings to see which positions are currently active and tagged for visa sponsorship.
Align your degree field to the posted specialty occupation standard
USCIS evaluates whether your degree is directly relevant to the Development Manager role as defined in the job posting. If your degree is in an adjacent field, document how your coursework and experience map to the specific technical and managerial responsibilities listed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Applied Industrial Technologies' primary sponsorship pathway for Development Manager roles is employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, not H-1B visa. If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, you can transfer your status to Applied Industrial Technologies while a Green Card petition is initiated, but you should confirm their specific H-1B transfer policy directly with the hiring team during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Development Manager roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for Development Manager positions. EB-2 applies if you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability in your field. EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree. Both pathways require PERM labor certification filed by the employer with the Department of Labor before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Development Manager roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Development Manager roles at Applied Industrial Technologies typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, combined with demonstrated experience leading development teams in a consulting or professional services environment. Familiarity with industrial systems, client delivery cycles, and cross-functional project management strengthens your candidacy. An advanced degree or specialized credentials can support an EB-2 classification if sponsorship discussions progress.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Start by browsing active Development Manager postings at Applied Industrial Technologies on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility. Apply through the company's official careers portal and tailor your application to the specific regional posting and technical scope listed. During the interview process, raise your sponsorship needs before the offer stage so the hiring team can route your case to their immigration counsel early.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take for a Development Manager at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the visa category. The PERM labor certification alone takes six months to over a year with the Department of Labor. After PERM approval, USCIS adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition, which can take additional months without premium processing. Applicants born in India face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs. Start the conversation early and request a realistic estimate from the company's immigration attorney.
