Frame Your Credentials Around Industrial Distribution
Applied Industrial Technologies hires Account Representatives who understand MRO supply chains, not just general sales. Tailor your resume to show experience with bearings, power transmission, or fluid power products so hiring managers see a specialist, not a generalist.
Target Regional Openings With Fewer Local Candidates
Applied's Account Representative openings span dozens of markets. Branches in smaller industrial corridors often face thinner local candidate pools, which gives sponsored applicants a stronger value proposition when competing against candidates who don't require immigration support.
Confirm Sponsorship Scope Before Your Final Interview
Applied has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 permanent residence categories for this role. Ask the recruiter directly whether sponsorship extends to the specific position and location you're interviewing for, since practice can vary by region and hiring manager.
Understand the PERM Timeline for Sales Roles
Permanent residence for Account Representatives typically starts with a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. This process requires advertising the role publicly for a set period, so expect at least 12 to 18 months before an immigrant visa petition can be filed.
Build a Pipeline of Applied Openings Through Migrate Mate
Account Representative positions at Applied open and close frequently across their branch network. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Applied Industrial Technologies roles that include sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to live openings rather than chasing stale listings.
Prepare Documentation That Supports an EB-3 Petition
EB-3 sponsorship requires demonstrating you meet the minimum qualifications Applied advertised during PERM. Gather official transcripts, employment verification letters, and any manufacturer certifications before your offer stage so the petition process doesn't stall waiting on documents.

Find Account Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Account Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies' documented sponsorship activity for Account Representatives centers on permanent residence categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. Account Representative roles are typically classified as sales positions requiring a degree but not always a highly specialized field of study, which can complicate H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship specifically, clarify the role's classification with the recruiter before investing in the process.
How do I apply for Account Representative jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can apply through Applied Industrial Technologies' careers portal on their website. Filtering by 'Account Representative' and your target region returns active openings across their branch network. Migrate Mate also aggregates Applied's sponsorship-eligible roles, letting you verify immigration support before applying. When you submit your application, indicate your work authorization status clearly so the recruiter can route your file appropriately from the start.
Which visa types are commonly used for Account Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored Account Representatives through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. EB-3 is the more common pathway for sales roles that require a bachelor's degree but fall outside highly specialized fields. EB-2 may apply if the position requires an advanced degree or if the candidate can demonstrate exceptional ability. Both paths run through PERM labor certification with the DOL before a petition is filed with USCIS.
What qualifications does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for Account Representative candidates?
Applied typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering technology, or a related field, combined with demonstrated ability to manage B2B client relationships in industrial or technical sales environments. Familiarity with MRO products, including bearings, belts, or fluid power components, strengthens your candidacy significantly. Prior experience using CRM platforms and a track record of meeting territory quotas are consistently referenced in their job postings for this role.
How long does the sponsorship process take for an Account Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies?
For permanent residence via PERM and EB-3, the process from labor certification filing to Green Card approval typically runs two to four years for applicants born outside high-demand countries, and considerably longer for nationals of India or China due to visa backlog queues. The PERM advertising period alone takes several months before DOL adjudication. Starting the process early in your employment is critical, and your employer's immigration counsel will drive the PERM timeline.
