Align Your Resume to ERP and Systems Work
Applied Industrial Technologies runs complex distribution and supply chain systems. Tailor your resume to highlight backend integration, ERP platforms, or warehouse management software experience before applying, since those signal direct relevance to their engineering needs.
Target Roles With Degree-Specific Job Requirements
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship depends on PERM labor certification, which requires the role to have a defined minimum degree requirement. Prioritize Software Engineer postings that explicitly list a bachelor's in computer science or a related field, not just preferred qualifications.
Ask About Sponsorship Scope During Initial Interviews
Some employers sponsor H-1B transfers but stop short of PERM. Ask your recruiter directly whether Applied Industrial Technologies supports the full Green Card process for this role, so you're not three months in before discovering their limits.
Understand PERM Timelines Before Accepting an Offer
DOL PERM processing currently runs six to eighteen months before USCIS even begins adjudicating the I-140. Factor that into your visa status timeline, especially if you're on OPT or a cap-gap extension with a hard expiration date.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Software Engineer Roles
Searching broadly across job boards makes it hard to filter for employers who actually file for permanent residence. Use Migrate Mate to identify Applied Industrial Technologies' active Software Engineer listings that are open to visa sponsorship, so you apply where it counts.
Verify E-Verify Enrollment Before Your Start Date
Federal regulations require E-Verify participation for employers sponsoring H-1B workers. Confirm Applied Industrial Technologies is enrolled before your start date, since your I-9 verification and work authorization are processed through that system from day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored visa petitions for Software Engineers, with permanent residence pathways (EB-2 and EB-3) being the documented sponsorship types on record. H-1B visa transfers are common for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you're entering the H-1B process fresh, confirm with the recruiter whether they'll support cap-subject petitions or transfers only.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
The documented sponsorship at Applied Industrial Technologies for Software Engineers falls under the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both requiring PERM labor certification through the DOL. Candidates already in the U.S. on H-1B status from a prior employer can transfer their petition. The EB-3 is more commonly used when the role requires a bachelor's degree but not advanced qualifications.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Software Engineer roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies' Software Engineer postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Experience with enterprise systems, supply chain software, or ERP integration is a practical differentiator given the company's industrial distribution focus. Roles often involve backend development, systems integration, or internal tooling rather than consumer-facing product work.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse open Software Engineer roles at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for employers with visa sponsorship track records. Apply directly through the company's careers portal and indicate your visa status early in the process. Recruiters at companies like Applied Industrial Technologies typically screen for sponsorship eligibility before moving candidates to technical interviews.
How do I plan my timeline if Applied Industrial Technologies sponsors my Green Card as a Software Engineer?
The PERM process through DOL typically takes six to eighteen months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140, which can take an additional six to twelve months without premium processing. If you're from a country with backlogged priority dates, the wait for an available visa number extends further. Start the conversation with your employer about initiating PERM as early as your employer's policy allows.
