Frame your SDR experience around industrial distribution
Applied Industrial Technologies sells power transmission, fluid power, and bearings to manufacturers. Tailor your resume to show B2B pipeline development in technical or industrial verticals, not just SaaS or general sales, to align with what hiring managers prioritize.
Verify the role qualifies for EB-2 or EB-3
Applied sponsors permanent residency rather than H-1B work visas for SDR roles. Confirm whether the specific position meets the educational and experience requirements USCIS uses to classify EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility before negotiating sponsorship terms.
Ask about PERM timing before accepting an offer
The PERM labor certification process through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Clarify with your recruiter at what tenure milestone Applied initiates PERM so you can plan your immigration timeline realistically.
Target regions with consistent SDR hiring activity
Applied operates service centers and distribution hubs across the U.S. Focusing your applications on locations where the company consistently posts SDR openings signals stronger local hiring intent and increases the likelihood that sponsorship infrastructure is already in place at that branch.
Use Migrate Mate to filter active SDR openings at Applied
Search Migrate Mate to surface Sales Development Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies that are actively hiring international candidates, filtering by visa sponsorship type so you only spend time on positions aligned with your immigration situation.
Prepare employment authorization documents before onboarding
Applied uses E-Verify for employment eligibility confirmation. If you're transitioning from OPT or another status, have your EAD and I-94 documentation organized and current before your start date to prevent onboarding delays that can complicate early sponsorship conversations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Development Representatives?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Sales Development Representative roles is focused on permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, rather than H-1B visa nonimmigrant visas. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, you may be able to transfer that status, but you'll want to confirm directly with Applied's HR team whether they support H-1B transfers for SDR positions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Development Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for qualifying roles. EB-3 is most common for positions requiring a bachelor's degree and defined work experience, which aligns with a typical SDR profile. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or the candidate can demonstrate exceptional ability. Both pathways require PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Sales Development Representative roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, combined with demonstrated B2B sales or lead generation experience. Given the company's focus on industrial distribution and technical solutions, familiarity with manufacturing, MRO supply chains, or power transmission products strengthens your candidacy significantly. Consultative selling skills and CRM proficiency are consistently emphasized across SDR job postings at the company.
How do I apply for Sales Development Representative jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse and apply for Sales Development Representative openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which aggregates roles that include visa sponsorship details so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, align your resume to Applied's industrial distribution context, reference specific product lines or end markets where relevant, and be prepared to address your work authorization status early in the recruiter screening call.
How do I time my job search at Applied Industrial Technologies around my visa status?
If you're on OPT or a 60-day grace period, start your outreach to Applied as early as possible since EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship involves a multi-stage process starting with PERM, which the DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months to certify. You'll need bridge work authorization while the Green Card process is underway, so clarifying your current status and authorized end date with Applied's HR team at the offer stage prevents timeline misalignment later.
