Frame your SDR credentials around industrial sales
Airgas sells gases, welding supplies, and safety products to manufacturing and construction clients. Tailor your resume to show B2B prospecting experience in technical or industrial markets, not consumer sales, so hiring managers see a direct fit before visa sponsorship even comes up.
Target branch-level roles in high-demand regions
Airgas operates hundreds of branch locations across the U.S. and consistently posts SDR openings in industrial corridors like the Gulf Coast and Midwest. Applying to roles tied to specific branches, rather than corporate pipelines, puts you closer to managers with direct hiring authority and faster offer timelines.
Confirm specialty occupation alignment before your interview
H-1B eligibility for SDR roles depends on USCIS recognizing the position as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Before your interview, prepare to articulate how your degree in business, chemistry, or a related discipline directly supports the technical sales responsibilities Airgas lists in the job description.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during the offer stage
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting an H-1B petition. At the offer stage, ask Airgas HR whether their legal team handles this in-house or through outside counsel so you can set accurate expectations for your start date and avoid gaps in work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to find open SDR roles at Airgas
Airgas posts SDR openings across multiple regions, and they don't all surface on general job boards at the same time. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Airgas Sales Development Representative roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Document your EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility early for long-term planning
If Airgas extends an H-1B offer, ask HR about their Green Card sponsorship policy for SDR employees. EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings require documented prevailing wage determinations from DOL, and starting that conversation at onboarding rather than two years in gives you a meaningful head start on permanent residence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Airgas sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Development Representatives?
Yes, Airgas has a record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Sales Development Representatives. Approval depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which requires demonstrating that the position demands a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business, chemistry, or engineering. Roles tied to technical industrial sales at Airgas tend to support this argument more clearly than generalist sales positions.
How do I apply for Sales Development Representative jobs at Airgas?
Applications go through Airgas's careers portal, where SDR roles are listed by region and branch. Before applying, confirm the posting references visa sponsorship or contact the recruiter directly to ask. Tailoring your application to highlight technical B2B sales experience in industrial or chemicals markets improves your chances significantly, since Airgas SDR roles focus on prospecting within manufacturing, construction, and energy sectors.
Which visa types does Airgas commonly use for Sales Development Representative roles?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa path for SDR roles at Airgas, subject to the annual USCIS lottery cap. For candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer, a transfer petition is the faster route. Airgas also has a track record of supporting EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees in longer-term roles, which involves a PERM labor certification filed with DOL.
What qualifications does Airgas expect for Sales Development Representative roles?
Airgas typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in B2B prospecting or territory sales. Familiarity with industrial products like compressed gases, welding equipment, or safety supplies is an advantage. Strong CRM skills and the ability to manage a geographic territory independently are also consistent expectations across Airgas SDR postings.
How do I find Sales Development Representative jobs at Airgas that offer visa sponsorship?
Not every Airgas SDR posting explicitly flags visa sponsorship, which makes filtering difficult on general job boards. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Airgas Sales Development Representative roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving you time and helping you focus your applications on positions where immigration support is actually on the table.
