Align your credentials to industrial project management
Airgas Development Manager roles typically require demonstrated experience overseeing capital projects or process improvement programs in chemicals, industrial gases, or manufacturing. Frame your resume around measurable project outcomes, safety compliance, and cross-site coordination before you apply.
Target Airgas postings that mention relocation flexibility
Airgas operates distribution and production facilities across the U.S., so Development Manager openings often span multiple regions. Postings that reference relocation support or multi-site oversight tend to signal stronger employer investment in the hire, including visa filing.
Find open Development Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter Airgas Development Manager postings by visa sponsorship type so you only apply to roles where H-1B or Green Card support is confirmed, saving time you would otherwise spend vetting individual listings manually.
Raise visa timing during the offer stage
If you are already in H-1B status with another employer, clarify whether Airgas will file an H-1B transfer before your start date. USCIS portability rules let you start with the new employer once the transfer petition is received, but your offer letter should reflect that timeline.
Understand how PERM shapes your Green Card timeline
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Airgas must complete DOL's PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. In a specialized industrial management role, PERM can take six to eighteen months, so ask HR which Green Card category they intend to file under before accepting an offer.
Document specialty occupation standing for your H-1B
USCIS scrutinizes Development Manager petitions when job duties blend general management with technical work. Gather degree transcripts, any professional engineering or project management certifications, and employer letters that tie your specific degree field to the technical scope of the role at Airgas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Airgas sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, Airgas sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. The company has filed H-1B petitions for this function, and its scale across chemicals and materials operations supports ongoing workforce needs that include international talent. Confirming sponsorship intent directly with the recruiter during early conversations is the most reliable way to verify it applies to a specific opening.
Which visa types are commonly used for Development Manager roles at Airgas?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Development Manager hires at Airgas, given the role's specialty occupation requirements in project or operational management. For permanent residence, Airgas has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. Which category applies depends on your degree, the role's requirements, and where you are in your immigration timeline.
What qualifications or experience does Airgas expect for Development Manager roles?
Airgas typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related technical field, combined with direct experience managing capital projects or operational development programs in industrial or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with safety compliance standards, cross-functional team leadership, and process improvement methodologies strengthens a Development Manager application significantly.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Airgas?
Browse current Airgas Development Manager openings on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered to show roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you can apply with confidence. When you reach the application stage, tailor your resume to reflect project scope, industrial sector experience, and any certifications relevant to chemicals or materials operations, then follow up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship eligibility early.
How do I plan my timeline if Airgas is sponsoring my Green Card?
If Airgas agrees to sponsor an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the process begins with DOL's PERM labor certification, which can take anywhere from several months to over a year before the immigrant petition is filed with USCIS. Your priority date, country of birth, and visa bulletin movement all affect how long you wait for an available slot. Starting the conversation with HR about Green Card sponsorship as early as possible in the offer process gives you a clearer picture of the full timeline.
