Frame Your HR Credentials for CPA Firm Contexts
Aprio operates in a heavily regulated professional services environment. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with compliance-driven HR functions, such as I-9 audits, E-Verify administration, or multi-state employment law, which align directly with what accounting firms prioritize in HR hires.
Target Roles Tied to Workforce Growth Initiatives
Aprio has expanded through acquisitions and geographic growth, which drives demand for HR generalists and talent acquisition specialists. Prioritize applications to roles that mention onboarding infrastructure or integration work, as these signal active headcount investment and a stronger case for sponsorship.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 Filing Timeline Early
Permanent residency sponsorship through PERM requires DOL labor market testing before USCIS ever sees your petition. That process alone can take a year or more. Clarify sponsorship timing with your recruiter before accepting an offer so you can plan your status bridge accordingly.
Address PERM Recruitment Requirements in Your Application
DOL requires employers to conduct good-faith recruitment before filing PERM for an HR role. Presenting yourself as the clearly qualified candidate from the start, with credentials that match the job description precisely, reduces the risk that the labor market test surfaces a competing applicant.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open HR Roles at Aprio
Searching broadly for HR jobs wastes time when sponsorship is your filter. Use Migrate Mate to surface Human Resources openings at Aprio directly, so you're applying to positions where visa sponsorship has already been established as part of the hiring profile.
Align Your Specialty Occupation Case to the Role's Degree Requirements
HR roles at professional services firms like Aprio often qualify as specialty occupations when the position requires a specific degree in human resources management, organizational psychology, or a related field. Make sure your offer letter reflects that specific educational requirement, not just a generic preference.

Find Human Resources at Aprio JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aprio sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources?
Aprio's documented sponsorship activity for Human Resources roles has focused on permanent residency pathways rather than H-1B. That said, H-1B eligibility for HR positions depends on whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a specific bachelor's degree. If you're currently on H-1B status and targeting an HR role at Aprio, discuss transfer sponsorship directly with their recruiting team during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources roles at Aprio?
Aprio has sponsored permanent residency for HR professionals through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. EB-2 applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Both pathways require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Human Resources roles at Aprio?
Aprio typically looks for HR professionals with experience supporting professional services or knowledge-worker environments. Familiarity with compliance-heavy processes, such as benefits administration, employee relations, or HR Information Systems, is valued. For sponsorship-eligible roles, your degree should align specifically with the position's stated educational requirement, since that alignment is what supports a specialty occupation or PERM filing.
How do I apply for Human Resources jobs at Aprio?
You can browse and apply for Human Resources positions at Aprio through Migrate Mate, which surfaces open roles where sponsorship has been part of the company's hiring history. When applying, tailor your materials to Aprio's professional services context and be direct about your visa status in early conversations with recruiters to avoid late-stage surprises during the offer process.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a sponsored HR role at Aprio?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-stage process. The DOL labor certification phase alone can take 12 to 18 months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140 petition. If your current work authorization has a fixed end date, you'll need to ensure a valid status bridge, such as an H-1B extension or EAD renewal, covers the full filing period before your employer begins the PERM process.
