INTRODUCTION
Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology platform. This platform enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by providing manufacturing processes and a materials library that are inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. It unlocks MEMS manufacturing not only for device classes that could never be produced by semiconductor methods, but also for entirely new categories. Furthermore, this digital platform is fully programmable in the way 3D printing is digital—but whereas 3D printing produces parts of a single material using a single process, the Matter Compiler™ technology platform is a multi-process, multi-material system: bits and raw materials go in, and complete, functional micromachines come out. The Atomic Machines team has also created an exciting first device—made possible only through the Matter Compiler™ technology platform—that we will be unveiling to the world soon.
Our offices are in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a Technical Sourcer who is exceptional at the fundamentals: mapping markets quickly, building precise talent pipelines, and getting responses from passive candidates at a high rate. You'll own top-of-funnel sourcing across our most complex technical searches — from robotics software engineers and MEMS specialists to AI researchers and manufacturing engineers; partnering tightly with recruiters and hiring managers to define what 'great' looks like, then going out and finding it.
We operate in a highly technical, niche talent market where success depends on your ability to build search strategies from first principles, write outreach that earns real replies, and quickly synthesize signals from candidate profiles.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies for highly technical roles across software, hardware, robotics, and manufacturing engineering.
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline development using LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Metaview, and other internal specialized tools.
- Write personalized, research-driven outreach, achieving 25%+ response rates on passive candidates.
- Conduct qualification screens to assess technical fit, motivation, and comp alignment before passing to full-cycle recruiters.
- Develop and maintain search strings, target company lists, and talent maps by role family.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers on intake, calibration, and iterative search refinement.
- Track sourcing metrics (outreach volume, response rates, pipeline conversion) and report weekly on pipeline health.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, draft outreach variations, and identify non-obvious candidate pools.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Prior experience recruiting for technical roles at a technical company. 2–5 years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience at a technical company or staffing firm.
- Deep fluency with LinkedIn Recruiter and at least one additional sourcing platform (Juicebox, Gem, Findem, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to build sourcing pipelines for niche, hard-to-fill technical roles — you can find people who aren't looking.
- Strong working knowledge of AI tools as a sourcing accelerator. (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
- Strong written communication skills with a track record of outreach messages that get replies.
- Ability to read a technical job description, ask the right intake questions, and independently construct a sourcing strategy without hand-holding.
- Experience with ATS platforms (Greenhouse preferred) for pipeline management, tagging, and reporting.
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to iterate on sourcing strategies.
- A first-principles approach to candidate evaluation quality.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Willingness to work onsite in Emeryville or Santa Clara, 2–3 days a week.

Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
Atomic Machines sponsors H-1B visas for technology and software roles. Focus your application on positions requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, engineering, computer science, or a closely matched discipline strengthens your case.
Apply early if you're on F-1 OPT
Atomic Machines sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible before H-1B eligibility. If your OPT window is limited, apply well in advance so there's time to transition to H-1B sponsorship before your work authorization expires.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline before accepting an offer
H-1B sponsorship at a technology company like Atomic Machines is subject to the annual lottery. Confirm your start date expectations align with the April filing window and October 1 employment start, especially if you're transitioning off OPT.
Canadian or Mexican candidates should ask about TN eligibility
Atomic Machines sponsors TN visas, which bypass the H-1B lottery entirely. If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and work in a qualifying technology role, TN sponsorship is faster and avoids annual cap uncertainty.
Demonstrate technical depth that justifies the sponsorship investment
Smaller technology companies like Atomic Machines weigh sponsorship costs carefully. Emphasize specialized skills, hardware, embedded systems, precision engineering, that are genuinely hard to source domestically and make the sponsorship case straightforward.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship opportunities in your field
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and visa type. Search for Atomic Machines and similar technology companies to compare sponsorship patterns and identify open roles that match your background.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Atomic Machines sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Atomic Machines sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the technology and software industry, and H-1B sponsorship is available for qualifying specialty occupation roles. Candidates should be aware that H-1B petitions are subject to the annual lottery, so timing your application around the registration window in early spring is essential.
Which visa types does Atomic Machines sponsor?
Atomic Machines sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range covers most international candidates in technology roles, whether you're a current student on CPT, a recent graduate on OPT, a Canadian or Mexican national eligible for TN, or a professional ready for H-1B sponsorship.
What types of roles at Atomic Machines are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Atomic Machines is most likely for technical roles in software, engineering, and related disciplines that meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard. Positions requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are the strongest candidates. General or non-technical roles are less likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Atomic Machines?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find current openings at Atomic Machines that come with verified visa sponsorship. You can filter by company, visa type, and industry to confirm which roles are actively being filled with sponsorship support, saving time you'd otherwise spend researching each listing manually.
How do I approach the application process at Atomic Machines as an international candidate?
Lead with your technical qualifications and be upfront about your visa status early in the process. For H-1B candidates, confirm the company's willingness to sponsor before investing heavily in interviews. If you're on OPT, highlight your authorization period and transition timeline so hiring managers can plan accordingly. TN-eligible candidates should specifically ask about that pathway, as it avoids lottery risk entirely.
