Frame your background around product-led strategy
Autodesk's Strategy Manager roles sit closest to product and go-to-market decisions, not pure corporate finance. Tailor your resume to show experience translating market analysis or competitive intelligence into roadmap or pricing decisions relevant to software or SaaS businesses.
Target roles aligned with your visa type
Autodesk sponsors multiple visa categories, including E-3 for Australian citizens, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. Filter open Strategy Manager postings by business unit and confirm the role's level before applying, since sponsorship eligibility can vary by position grade.
Browse Strategy Manager openings on Migrate Mate
Autodesk's Strategy Manager roles don't always surface with clear sponsorship signals on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Autodesk postings by visa type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Time your H-1B cap filing around Autodesk's hiring cycle
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration each March for an October 1 start. Autodesk typically moves hiring timelines to accommodate this window, so securing an offer by February gives your recruiter enough runway to prepare the petition.
Prepare for a structured offer-to-filing handoff
Once you receive an offer, Autodesk's immigration team works with outside counsel to file your petition. Gather your degree transcripts, prior visa documents, and any employment verification letters in advance so the process doesn't stall during document collection.
Clarify your OPT or grace period status early in interviews
If you're on F-1 OPT, STEM OPT gives you up to 24 months of extension, but your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm this with Autodesk's recruiter before your first-round interview so there's no gap between your OPT end date and petition approval.

Does Autodesk sponsor H-1B visas for Strategy Managers?
Yes, Autodesk sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy Manager roles. Strategy positions at Autodesk typically qualify as specialty occupations because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or engineering. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your offer needs to be in place before USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Strategy Manager jobs at Autodesk?
Apply through Autodesk's careers portal at autodesk.com/careers. Search for Strategy Manager or related titles such as Corporate Strategy or Business Strategy. Tailor your application to Autodesk's software and platform business context. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Autodesk's open Strategy Manager roles filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps confirm a role supports your specific visa category before you invest time in the process.
Which visa types does Autodesk commonly use for Strategy Manager roles?
Autodesk sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for Strategy Manager positions. Australian citizens benefit most from the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable periods. Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying business strategy roles may qualify under the TN category. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, provided Autodesk is enrolled in E-Verify for STEM OPT extensions.
What qualifications does Autodesk expect for Strategy Manager candidates?
Autodesk typically looks for candidates with an MBA or equivalent graduate degree alongside experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a corporate strategy function inside a technology company. Demonstrated ability to structure complex business problems, synthesize market data, and present recommendations to senior leadership matters significantly. Familiarity with SaaS business models, cloud software markets, or construction technology is a meaningful differentiator for roles within Autodesk's core verticals.
How do I navigate the timeline from offer to visa approval at Autodesk?
After accepting an offer, Autodesk's immigration team typically engages outside counsel within a few weeks to begin the petition. For H-1B transfers or E-3 applications, plan for four to twelve weeks from petition filing to approval depending on whether premium processing is used. USCIS premium processing guarantees a decision within 15 business days for most petition types. Having your documents organized before the offer stage reduces delays significantly.
