INTRODUCTION
Imagine what you could do here! The people here at Apple don’t just create products - they build the kind of wonder that’s revolutionized entire industries. It’s the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. At Apple, inclusion is a shared responsibility, and we work together to foster a culture where everyone belongs and is inspired to do their best work.
Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things.
We're looking for a Contingent Workforce Strategy Lead to own and drive our contingent staffing vendor strategy. In this role, you'll build the capabilities, frameworks, and alignment needed to ensure our vendor strategy evolves alongside the broader transformation across ASO operations. With ASO undergoing a major transformation, the Workforce Strategy & Analytics (WSA) team is at the core of reshaping how and where we use vendor partners to support this evolution. You'll work closely with our Workforce Strategy Lead, who sets the overall workforce direction, as well as staffing partners, procurement, finance, and the central contingent workforce team, to keep our vendor strategy efficient, compliant, and built to flex.
DESCRIPTION
You'll own ASO's contingent staffing vendor strategy end to end, including performance management, scope and deliverable definition, and the ongoing evolution of the vendor landscape. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for staffing vendor partners, holding them accountable to performance while identifying when and how the vendor mix needs to change as the organization's work shifts. You'll own scope and statement of work (SOW) definition in partnership with the business, while procurement leads request for proposals (RFPs) and negotiates pricing and rate cards. Your vendor strategy work will align to the broader workforce direction set by our Workforce Strategy Lead, and you'll partner closely with them to ensure vendor decisions support the overall workforce plan. You'll also support the execution of strategic workforce and hiring decisions, with the opportunity to grow your responsibilities as the team evolves.

-
Partner with procurement on RFP scoping and vendor selection criteria, and escalate performance or compliance risks as needed
-
Proactively partner with operations leaders to present strategic vendor proposals, landscape recommendations, and tailored workforce solutions that anticipate business needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
7+ years managing strategic initiatives, programs, or operations with varying cross-functional partners, including significant experience stitching together teams to drive operational plans and workforce initiatives
-

Frame your strategy experience around Apple's verticals
Apple hires Strategy Managers to support specific business units like iPhone, Mac, Services, or Retail. Tailor your resume to reflect experience in consumer electronics, platform ecosystems, or hardware-software integration rather than generic corporate strategy work.
Target internal mobility as a sponsorship entry point
Apple frequently sponsors Strategy Managers who transition from adjacent roles within the company. If you're on F-1 OPT in a product, finance, or operations role at Apple, a lateral move to strategy can trigger a full H-1B sponsorship cycle without starting from scratch externally.
Align your application timeline with H-1B cap registration
USCIS opens H-1B lottery registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting a Strategy Manager offer at Apple, aim to have an offer accepted by February so your employer can register you in time. Missing this window means waiting a full year.
Understand how Apple structures LCA filings for strategy roles
Apple files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Strategy Manager roles typically fall under SOC codes tied to management analysis or operations. Confirming your role's classification with your recruiter early helps avoid delays in the LCA certification step.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Strategy Manager roles at Apple that explicitly support visa sponsorship
Not every Apple job posting signals sponsorship eligibility clearly. Browse Migrate Mate to filter verified Strategy Manager openings at Apple by visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed rather than assumed.
Prepare for PERM if you're targeting a Green Card pathway
Apple sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for eligible Strategy Managers, which requires a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. This process can take one to two years before an I-140 petition is filed, so ask your recruiter about timelines during the offer stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Strategy Managers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Strategy Manager roles. The process begins with Apple filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an H-1B petition submitted to USCIS. Because H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, timing your offer to align with the March registration window is critical for a smooth start date.
How do I apply for Strategy Manager jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers portal at jobs.apple.com. Strategy Manager roles at Apple are competitive and typically require demonstrated experience in structured problem-solving, cross-functional project leadership, and business unit planning. Tailoring your application to a specific Apple division, such as hardware, services, or retail, strengthens your candidacy. Migrate Mate also lists verified Apple Strategy Manager openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility.
Which visa types does Apple commonly sponsor for Strategy Manager roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, and TN visas for qualifying Strategy Managers, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates still in their academic authorization period. For longer-term pathways, Apple supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does Apple expect for a Strategy Manager role?
Apple's Strategy Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior positions. Relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy at a technology or consumer electronics company carries significant weight. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Apple's product or services ecosystem are recurring expectations.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Strategy Manager at Apple?
For H-1B, the timeline from offer to work authorization runs roughly six to nine months when accounting for LCA certification by the DOL and USCIS processing. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce the petition adjudication window to 15 business days. E-3 and TN processing at a consulate is generally faster, often completed within a few weeks of receiving your offer documents from Apple.
