Align your credentials to automotive operations
AutoNation's Manufacturing roles often emphasize supply chain coordination, parts inventory, and dealership service workflows. Frame your resume around automotive-specific process experience, not generic manufacturing credentials, to clear initial screening filters.
Verify your TN eligibility before applying
TN status covers specific professional categories, and Manufacturing roles at AutoNation may qualify under Industrial Engineer or Management Consultant depending on your actual job duties. Confirm the role's title and responsibilities align with a recognized TN category before submitting your application.
Target roles at high-volume dealership markets
AutoNation concentrates operations in major metro markets like South Florida, Texas, and California. Manufacturing and parts operations positions in these regions see more consistent hiring activity, which correlates with a higher likelihood of active sponsorship support from regional HR teams.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsorship-eligible openings
AutoNation posts Manufacturing roles across dozens of locations, making it hard to identify which openings are actively open to visa candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter AutoNation's Manufacturing listings by visa type so you're only spending time on roles where sponsorship is realistic.
Time your OPT application around hiring cycles
AutoNation's dealership operations run on fiscal quarters, with headcount decisions often finalizing in Q1 and Q3. If your OPT window is approaching, apply at least 90 days before your work authorization expires to leave enough lead time for onboarding and any employer E-Verify processing requirements.
Prepare for USCIS specialty occupation scrutiny in Manufacturing
H-1B petitions for Manufacturing roles face closer USCIS review on specialty occupation grounds. Document how your specific duties require a theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge, and ensure your offer letter reflects degree-level requirements, not just general experience.

Find Manufacturing at AutoNation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AutoNation sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturings?
Yes, AutoNation has sponsored H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles. That said, sponsorship decisions are made at the role level, not company-wide, so not every Manufacturing opening will come with H-1B support. Your strongest path is targeting roles where the job description explicitly requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, which strengthens the specialty occupation case USCIS requires for H-1B approval.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at AutoNation?
You can apply directly through AutoNation's careers site, where Manufacturing and parts operations roles are listed by location and business unit. To filter specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lets you browse AutoNation's Manufacturing openings by visa type, saving you time screening roles that won't support your work authorization status.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing roles at AutoNation?
AutoNation has sponsored H-1B visas and also hires candidates on F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN status for Manufacturing roles. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates in supply chain, industrial engineering, or operations management. TN is available specifically to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role duties map to an eligible professional category under the USMCA agreement.
What qualifications does AutoNation expect for Manufacturing roles?
AutoNation's Manufacturing roles typically look for backgrounds in automotive service operations, parts and inventory management, logistics coordination, or industrial engineering. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, the role needs to require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Hands-on experience with dealership management systems or automotive parts workflows is a strong differentiator over general manufacturing experience.
How do I think about timing when pursuing a visa-sponsored Manufacturing role at AutoNation?
If you're on F-1 OPT, start your application at least three months before your authorization expires. For H-1B, USCIS opens the registration window in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. That means any H-1B petition AutoNation files on your behalf needs to be timed against that annual cycle, so roles you're targeting should ideally be identified and interviewed for between October and February.
