Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Accountant Jobs at Axos Bank Jobs
Align your credentials to banking compliance requirements
Axos operates under federal banking regulations, so CPA licensure or progress toward it signals readiness for roles in regulatory reporting and audit. Highlight any coursework or experience in bank reconciliation, GAAP, or SOX compliance on your resume before applying.
Target roles in financial reporting and audit
Axos Bank's Accountant openings span internal audit, general ledger, and financial reporting functions. Focus your applications on postings that map directly to your degree field, since specialty occupation approval depends on that direct alignment between your role and your academic background.
Browse open Accountant roles on Migrate Mate
Searching for visa-friendly accounting roles at online banks can be time-consuming. Use Migrate Mate to filter Axos Bank Accountant openings by visa type so you're only reviewing positions where sponsorship is on the table.
Confirm LCA filing before accepting an offer
Before your H-1B petition can be filed with USCIS, Axos must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL. Ask your recruiter where that process stands during the offer stage so you understand the timeline before you resign from a current role.
Use OPT or CPT strategically to get in the door
If you're on F-1 status, joining Axos on OPT gives both sides time to evaluate fit before H-1B sponsorship discussions begin. Make sure your OPT authorization covers the role's start date, and track your remaining work authorization window carefully to avoid a gap.
Prepare for a multi-round technical interview process
Axos Bank typically assesses Accountant candidates on financial statement analysis and reconciliation skills across multiple interview rounds. Having documented examples of month-end close processes or variance analysis ready to discuss demonstrates the specialized competency that supports a specialty occupation determination.

Find Accountant at Axos Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Axos Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Accountants?
Yes, Axos Bank has a record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Accountant roles. To qualify, the position must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which requires a direct relationship between the job duties and a specific bachelor's degree field. Accounting roles tied to financial reporting, audit, or regulatory compliance typically satisfy that requirement.
How do I apply for Accountant jobs at Axos Bank?
You can browse and apply for Accountant openings at Axos Bank directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect the specific accounting function advertised, whether that's general ledger, internal audit, or financial reporting.
Which visa types does Axos Bank sponsor for Accountant roles?
Axos Bank sponsors several work visa categories for Accountant positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting roles under the USMCA agreement. F-1 OPT is commonly used as an entry point before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications does Axos Bank expect for Accountant positions?
Axos Bank generally looks for a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. CPA licensure or active candidacy is valued for roles in financial reporting and audit. Practical experience with GAAP, month-end close processes, or reconciliation is frequently listed in job postings. Roles with a regulatory or compliance focus may also require familiarity with banking-specific frameworks like SOX.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if I receive an offer from Axos Bank?
From offer acceptance to H-1B approval, the process typically spans several months. Axos must first file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which takes around seven business days under standard processing. The H-1B petition is then filed with USCIS, where regular processing can take three to six months. Premium processing, if elected, reduces USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days.
