Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Bookkeeper Jobs at Axos Bank Jobs
Align your credentials to banking bookkeeping standards
Axos Bank operates under federal banking regulations, so reconciliation experience with GAAP-compliant ledgers and familiarity with financial institution reporting cycles strengthens your application over general bookkeeping backgrounds.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B positions to meet specialty occupation standards. For Bookkeeper roles, your employer's job description should specify a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance as a minimum requirement, not just preferred.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Bookkeeper openings
Search Migrate Mate to identify active Bookkeeper listings at Axos Bank that are open to visa sponsorship, filtering by visa type so you apply only to roles where your authorization status is explicitly supported.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
If your accounting degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before your interview. USCIS will require it in the H-1B petition, and having it ready removes a common delay in the employer's filing process.

Find Bookkeeper at Axos Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Axos Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Bookkeepers?
Yes, Axos Bank has a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Bookkeeper roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when the job description requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Your employer will need to file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS.
How do I apply for Bookkeeper jobs at Axos Bank?
Apply directly through Axos Bank's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, where you can filter Bookkeeper openings by visa sponsorship type. Tailor your resume to highlight bank reconciliation, accounts payable or receivable, and any experience with financial institution reporting standards, since Axos Bank operates in a regulated digital banking environment.
Which visa types does Axos Bank commonly sponsor for Bookkeeper roles?
Axos Bank has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for this function. F-1 CPT and OPT are practical entry points for recent accounting graduates. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting roles. H-1B remains the primary long-term work authorization pathway for most international Bookkeepers.
What qualifications does Axos Bank expect for Bookkeeper positions?
Axos Bank generally expects a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with GAAP, month-end close processes, and accounting software is valued. Because Axos is a federally regulated digital bank, familiarity with financial institution internal controls or audit-ready recordkeeping gives candidates a meaningful edge over general bookkeeping backgrounds.
How do I plan my timeline around Axos Bank's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. Work backward from there: secure your offer at least two to three months before April, allow time for the DOL to certify the Labor Condition Application, and confirm your current status has enough runway. If you're on OPT, the cap-gap provision may bridge any gap between OPT expiry and October 1.
