Verify Your State CNA License Early
Each state has its own CNA certification requirements, and BAYADA hires across dozens of states. Confirm your license is active and transferable before applying, since sponsorship conversations can't progress without it.
Target Offices With Active Openings
BAYADA operates through local offices, not a single national hiring pipeline. Search openings by location on their careers page and prioritize offices actively posting C.N.A. roles, as sponsorship decisions are often made at the branch level.
Ask About F-1 OPT During the Interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, bring it up directly with the hiring manager rather than waiting for HR. Home health employers often don't realize OPT authorizes immediate employment, and clarifying this removes a common early barrier.
Understand the H-1B Specialty Occupation Standard
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For C.N.A. positions, sponsoring employers must document why the role requires at least a bachelor's degree, so ask your BAYADA recruiter how they structure this argument before accepting an offer.
Time Your Application Around the H-1B Cap
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If BAYADA is sponsoring you for H-1B, your offer and I-129 petition must be in place well before the registration window opens, meaning your job search should start months earlier.
Browse BAYADA CNA Openings on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and location to find BAYADA C.N.A. roles that are actively accepting sponsored candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces jobs specifically matched to your visa situation, so you're not sorting through listings that won't lead anywhere.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BAYADA Home Health Care sponsor H-1B visas for C.N.A.s?
BAYADA Home Health Care does sponsor H-1B visas, including for C.N.A. roles. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific office, state, and role requirements at the time of hire. Because H-1B approval for C.N.A. positions requires the employer to establish specialty occupation status, it's worth asking the recruiter directly how BAYADA supports this process for clinical roles.
How do I apply for C.N.A. jobs at BAYADA Home Health Care?
Applications go through BAYADA's careers portal, where you can filter by location and role type. You can also browse visa-friendly C.N.A. openings at BAYADA through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can identify positions that align with your sponsorship needs before you apply.
Which visa types does BAYADA Home Health Care commonly use for C.N.A. roles?
BAYADA has sponsored candidates under H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for C.N.A. positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for international nursing and allied health graduates, while TN is available to qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible healthcare occupations. H-1B remains an option for longer-term sponsorship.
What qualifications does BAYADA expect for sponsored C.N.A. candidates?
BAYADA expects candidates to hold an active, state-issued CNA certification in the state where they'll work, along with any required clinical hours. For sponsored roles, your credentials need to be fully validated before BAYADA initiates a visa petition. Some states require additional background checks or health screenings, which you should complete in advance to avoid delays.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a C.N.A. role at BAYADA?
Timelines vary by visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can allow you to start within days of an offer if your EAD is already in hand. TN status for eligible Canadians can be obtained at the border on the same day. H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS's cap timeline, with a standard start date of October 1 and premium processing available to reduce petition review to 15 business days.
