Verify your PT license before applying
Each state where BAYADA operates requires a separate Physical Therapist license. Get your primary state license confirmed and check reciprocity rules early. Waiting on licensure after an offer delays your start date and complicates visa timing.
Target BAYADA's home health branches directly
BAYADA staffs through local branch offices, not just a central recruiter. Identify branches in your preferred state on their website and reach out directly. Home health roles fill differently than hospital positions and often have faster hiring cycles.
Ask recruiters about TN eligibility upfront
Canadian and Mexican PTs can use the TN visa category, which requires no employer petition with USCIS and has no lottery. Raise this with BAYADA's HR team early so they're prepared to support the documentation at the port of entry.
Understand how H-1B timing affects your start date
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only start October 1 under the annual lottery. If you're on OPT, confirm your OPT end date against BAYADA's expected onboarding timeline and ask whether they'll file for a cap-gap extension to bridge any gap.
Use Migrate Mate to find open BAYADA PT roles that include sponsorship
BAYADA posts Physical Therapist openings across many states, but not every listing signals sponsorship willingness. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for BAYADA roles that support work visas so you're only applying where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Prepare a credential evaluation before the offer stage
If you completed your PT degree outside the U.S., BAYADA's credentialing process will require a foreign credential evaluation, typically from FCCPT. Order it before you receive an offer so it doesn't become the bottleneck that stalls your visa filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BAYADA Home Health Care sponsor H-1B visas for Physical Therapists?
Yes, BAYADA Home Health Care has sponsored H-1B visas for Physical Therapists. Because PT roles require a specific degree and state licensure, they qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing matters, so engage BAYADA's HR team early in the year to align your application with the annual lottery window.
How do I apply for Physical Therapist jobs at BAYADA Home Health Care?
You can apply through BAYADA's careers page or directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for BAYADA PT roles that include visa sponsorship. BAYADA staffs through local branch offices, so searching by state or region will surface the most relevant openings. Having your state PT license in hand before you apply strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which visa types does BAYADA Home Health Care commonly support for Physical Therapist roles?
BAYADA has supported H-1B sponsorship for Physical Therapists, and the role also qualifies under the TN visa category for Canadian and Mexican nationals, which does not require a lottery. F-1 students completing PT programs may also be eligible for OPT or CPT during or after their studies before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
What qualifications does BAYADA Home Health Care expect from Physical Therapist candidates?
BAYADA typically expects a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or equivalent, an active state PT license in the state where you'll work, and clinical experience in home health or rehabilitation settings. Foreign-trained PTs will also need a credential evaluation from an approved body such as FCCPT before BAYADA can proceed with credentialing and visa filing.
How do I manage visa timing when pursuing a Physical Therapist role at BAYADA?
Visa timing depends on your current status. OPT holders should confirm their authorization end date and raise cap-gap options with BAYADA if an H-1B is needed. TN visa holders can switch employers at the border without a lottery. In all cases, align your expected start date with BAYADA's onboarding process before the offer is finalized to avoid gaps in work authorization.
