Verify Your State Licensure Before Applying
AccentCare operates across multiple states, and each requires a separate PT license. Confirm your state license is active and transferable before submitting applications, since sponsorship timelines depend on licensure being in place or in progress.
Target Home Health Openings Specifically
AccentCare's heaviest PT hiring is in home health, not outpatient or hospital settings. Filtering your search to home health roles increases your chances of landing a position where AccentCare actively recruits and has established onboarding pipelines for international candidates.
Understand How EB-3 Sponsorship Works for PTs
Physical Therapists commonly qualify under the EB-3 category, which requires PERM labor certification filed by the employer with DOL. This process takes months, so confirm with AccentCare's HR team early whether they initiate PERM immediately upon hire or after a probationary period.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsoring PT Roles
Search AccentCare's Physical Therapist openings filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. The platform surfaces roles where AccentCare has a verified sponsorship history, saving you time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to positions with no immigration support.
Clarify OPT and TN Coverage During the Offer Stage
AccentCare sponsors TN visas for Canadian and Mexican PT graduates, and F-1 OPT for recent U.S. program completers. Before signing an offer, confirm in writing which visa category your role falls under and whether the company covers USCIS or DOL filing fees.
Prepare a Credential Evaluation for Foreign PT Degrees
If your PT degree is from outside the United States, you'll need a credential evaluation from a FCCPT-approved evaluator before AccentCare can advance your sponsorship paperwork. Start this process early since evaluations routinely take six to ten weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Physical Therapists?
AccentCare's primary sponsorship pathways for Physical Therapists are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas, along with TN visa and F-1 OPT for eligible candidates. H-1B visa sponsorship is less common for PT roles at home health companies because the EB-3 route is better suited to the occupation. If you're set on H-1B, clarify directly with the recruiter before accepting an offer.
Which visa types does AccentCare commonly use for Physical Therapist roles?
AccentCare most frequently supports Physical Therapists through EB-3 permanent residency sponsorship via PERM labor certification, which is the standard pathway for licensed healthcare professionals. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose PT credential qualifies under the USMCA occupations list. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for candidates in or recently completing U.S.-based PT programs.
How do I apply for Physical Therapist jobs at AccentCare?
You can browse and apply to AccentCare's Physical Therapist openings directly through their careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship type so you only see positions where AccentCare has a confirmed sponsorship track record. When applying, confirm in your cover materials that you require sponsorship, since AccentCare's recruiters handle visa cases through their HR and immigration team.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect from Physical Therapist candidates?
AccentCare requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a CAPTE-accredited program, or an equivalent foreign credential evaluated by a FCCPT-approved body. You'll need an active state PT license in the state where you'll practice, and most home health roles expect at least one year of clinical experience post-graduation. Familiarity with home health documentation systems like Homecare Homebase is a practical advantage.
How do I navigate the timeline between receiving a job offer and visa approval at AccentCare?
For EB-3 sponsorship, AccentCare must complete PERM labor certification with the DOL before filing an I-140 petition with USCIS, a process that can take one to two years before your priority date becomes current. If you're on F-1 OPT, your 12-month work authorization period gives you a runway to begin this process. Align your start date and OPT expiration with AccentCare's HR team early to avoid gaps in work authorization.
