Obtain NCLEX Licensure Before Applying
AccentCare requires active RN licensure in the state where you'll work. Passing the NCLEX and securing a compact or state-specific license before you apply removes a common bottleneck that delays sponsorship conversations with hiring managers.
Target AccentCare Branches in High-Demand States
AccentCare operates across multiple states with persistent home health nursing shortages. Focusing your applications on branches in states like Texas, California, and Florida increases your odds of reaching a recruiter authorized to initiate sponsorship discussions.
Understand How EB-3 PERM Works for Nurses
For employment-based Green Card sponsorship, your employer files a PERM labor certification with DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your I-140 petition. This process typically takes one to two years before you reach the Green Card filing stage, so start conversations early.
Confirm OPT Eligibility Aligns With Role Start Dates
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your authorized period covers your anticipated AccentCare start date and includes enough runway for the STEM extension if applicable. Home health nursing roles often involve delayed onboarding tied to credentialing timelines.
Ask Recruiters Directly About Sponsorship Authorization
Not every AccentCare branch location has equal authority to initiate visa filings. When you reach the phone screen stage, ask specifically whether that branch has sponsored nurses through PERM before and who internally approves sponsorship decisions.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified AccentCare Openings
Locating AccentCare Home Health Nurse roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship can be time-consuming across general job boards. Migrate Mate filters openings by sponsorship history, letting you focus applications on the roles most likely to lead to a filing.

Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Home Health Nurses?
AccentCare's primary sponsorship pathway for Home Health Nurses is employment-based Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 category, not H-1B. Registered nursing roles are generally classified as specialty occupations eligible for H-1B, but home health employers more commonly use PERM-based Green Card routes. Confirm the specific pathway available with the recruiter at your target branch before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for Home Health Nurse jobs at AccentCare?
Applications go through AccentCare's careers portal, where you can filter by location and role type. Before applying, confirm your RN license is active in the relevant state. During the interview process, raise visa sponsorship directly with the recruiter rather than waiting for an offer. You can also browse verified AccentCare openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate.
Which visa types does AccentCare commonly use for Home Health Nurse sponsorship?
AccentCare sponsors Home Health Nurses through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT for nursing graduates in authorized programs, TN status for Canadian and Mexican RNs who qualify under USMCA, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-3 is the most common long-term pathway because it aligns with DOL's PERM labor certification process, which is standard for healthcare employers.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect for Home Health Nurse roles?
AccentCare typically requires an active RN license in the state of employment, at least one year of prior clinical nursing experience, and in most markets a valid driver's license since home visits involve independent travel. Experience in med-surge, oncology, or wound care strengthens your candidacy. For international applicants, having your foreign nursing credentials evaluated through a NACES-approved body before applying removes a common offer delay.
How do I navigate the timeline from offer to work authorization at AccentCare?
For F-1 OPT, work authorization begins on your EAD start date, so align your AccentCare offer letter timeline accordingly. For TN status, you can typically obtain authorization at a port of entry with an offer letter in hand. For EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, expect the PERM and I-140 stages alone to take one to two years before visa priority dates become relevant. Start the conversation with AccentCare recruiters as early as possible.
