Verify your credentials before applying
Trinity Health requires active RN licensure in the state where you'll practice. If you trained outside the U.S., complete CGFNS credential evaluation and NCLEX before outreach. An unverified license is the most common reason offers stall at the nursing stage.
Target markets where Trinity Health hires repeatedly
Trinity Health operates across multiple states with concentrated home health programs. Focus applications on markets where they have established visiting nurse services, since those hiring managers are more familiar with sponsorship workflows than regions with newer operations.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screen
Home health nursing at Trinity Health is classified as a specialty occupation, which supports H-1B eligibility. Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific role and location are approved for sponsorship before investing time in later interview rounds.
Understand PERM timelines before accepting an offer
If you're pursuing a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, Trinity Health will need to run PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your I-140. This process can take a year or more, so confirm the employer is prepared to begin it alongside your H-1B petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Home Health Nurse roles
Searching broadly across job boards wastes time on positions that don't sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to filter Trinity Health's active Home Health Nurse openings by visa type, so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Align your F-1 OPT start date with Trinity Health's onboarding cycle
Trinity Health's home health hiring tends to follow clinical onboarding windows tied to orientation cohorts. If you're on F-1 OPT, request an activation date that aligns with their next cohort start, since a mismatched start date can leave OPT days unused before your H-1B cap-gap kicks in.

Find Home Health Nurse at Trinity Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor H-1B visas for Home Health Nurses?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors H-1B visas for Home Health Nurse roles. Home health nursing qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards because the position typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher. Sponsorship availability can vary by location within Trinity Health's system, so confirm directly with the recruiter for your specific role and market during the interview process.
How do I apply for Home Health Nurse jobs at Trinity Health?
Applications go through Trinity Health's careers portal, where roles are listed by location and department. To find openings confirmed for visa sponsorship, browse Trinity Health's Home Health Nurse listings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for sponsored positions. Having your RN license, NCLEX results, and CGFNS evaluation ready before you apply speeds up the credentialing review that Trinity Health conducts early in the process.
Which visa types does Trinity Health use for Home Health Nurse roles?
Trinity Health sponsors several visa categories for nursing roles, including H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican RNs), J-1, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for eligible candidates. For permanent residency, Trinity Health supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification filed with DOL. The right visa type depends on your citizenship, degree, and whether you're already in the U.S. on another status.
What qualifications does Trinity Health expect for Home Health Nurses?
Trinity Health generally requires an active RN license in the state of practice, a minimum of one to two years of clinical nursing experience, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing for H-1B eligibility. Home health-specific experience in wound care, chronic disease management, or post-surgical patient monitoring strengthens your candidacy. International applicants should also have CGFNS certification and a passing NCLEX score completed before the offer stage.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Home Health Nurse at Trinity Health?
For H-1B cap-subject applicants, Trinity Health must file during the annual April lottery window, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. Cap-exempt pathways, such as transferring an existing H-1B, can move faster. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves PERM labor certification through DOL, followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS, and can take anywhere from one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
