Obtain a State-Recognized CNA Certification First
AccentCare's Healthcare Assistant roles frequently require a Certified Nursing Assistant credential or equivalent home health aide certification. Getting state-licensed before applying removes a common bottleneck that delays sponsorship timelines for entry-level healthcare candidates.
Target AccentCare's High-Volume Service Markets
AccentCare operates in dense home health markets across Texas, California, and the mid-Atlantic. Focusing your search on these regions improves your odds of finding open Healthcare Assistant roles where the local branch has established sponsorship workflows already in place.
Align Your Resume With Home Health Aide SOC Codes
PERM-based sponsorship ties your role to a specific Standard Occupational Classification code. Make sure your resume reflects duties matching Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide descriptions, not general administrative or clinical support language that could complicate DOL's prevailing wage determination.
Clarify Your OPT or TN Status Early in Interviews
AccentCare has sponsored F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN candidates for Healthcare Assistant roles. Raising your authorization status before the offer stage, not after, gives the hiring manager time to flag it to HR and prevents last-minute delays in issuing your offer letter.
Expect PERM Before an I-140 for Green Card Pathways
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship at AccentCare follows the standard PERM labor certification process through DOL before USCIS adjudicates your I-140 petition. The full sequence from PERM filing to I-140 approval typically spans one to two years, not counting your priority date wait.
Browse Open Healthcare Assistant Roles Through Migrate Mate
Searching AccentCare's Healthcare Assistant openings through Migrate Mate filters for roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving you time spent applying to positions where international candidates are screened out early in the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcare Assistants?
AccentCare's Healthcare Assistant roles are generally classified under home health aide or personal care aide occupations, which do not typically meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B visa eligibility. AccentCare's sponsorship activity for this role is concentrated in employment-based Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa status. If you're on an H-1B visa, this role is unlikely to be a direct fit.
Which visa types are commonly sponsored for Healthcare Assistant roles at AccentCare?
AccentCare sponsors Healthcare Assistants through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, both of which require PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. The company also hires candidates on F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN status. TN eligibility applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations under the USMCA agreement.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect for Healthcare Assistant positions?
AccentCare typically requires a state-recognized Certified Nursing Assistant certification or home health aide credential, along with a clean background check and valid CPR certification. Prior experience in a home care, assisted living, or hospital setting strengthens your application. Some roles require a valid driver's license, as Healthcare Assistants often travel between patient homes within a service territory.
How do I apply for Healthcare Assistant jobs at AccentCare?
You can browse and apply for Healthcare Assistant roles at AccentCare through Migrate Mate, which surfaces openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility so you're not wasting applications on roles that won't support your visa situation. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect home health aide duties and include any state certifications upfront. Be ready to disclose your work authorization status early, as AccentCare's HR teams need this to coordinate with their immigration process.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship at AccentCare?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-3 at AccentCare follows a multi-stage process: PERM labor certification with the DOL typically takes six to eighteen months, followed by USCIS adjudication of your I-140 petition. After approval, your wait for an available visa number depends on your country of birth and the current priority date cutoffs published monthly by the State Department. For most countries outside India and China, EB-3 waits are significantly shorter.
