Verify your medical credentials before applying
AccentCare operates in a highly regulated clinical environment, so confirm your ECFMG certification and state medical license are active and transferable before submitting applications. Missing either document will stall any sponsorship conversation before it starts.
Target AccentCare's home health physician openings
AccentCare's Medical Doctor roles are concentrated in home health and hospice settings, not hospital systems. Search specifically for titles like attending physician or hospice medical director, since those are the roles most likely to carry sponsorship eligibility within their hiring pipeline.
Understand which visa pathway fits your situation
AccentCare sponsors both immigrant pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 and nonimmigrant options including TN and F-1 OPT. If you're a Canadian or Mexican physician, TN classification can get you working faster than a PERM-based green card process, which typically takes 12 to 18 months or longer.
Ask recruiters about PERM timing during interviews
For EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship, AccentCare must complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing your immigrant petition. Ask the recruiter directly where the company is in that process for your specific role so you can plan your authorization timeline realistically.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsored Medical Doctor roles at AccentCare
AccentCare posts Medical Doctor openings across multiple markets, and not every listing signals visa sponsorship clearly. Use Migrate Mate to filter AccentCare roles confirmed for sponsorship, so you're only applying where your work authorization situation is already accounted for.
Align your OPT start date with AccentCare's onboarding cycle
If you're on F-1 OPT, your work authorization window is fixed. Coordinate your application timing with AccentCare's hiring cycle so your OPT start date overlaps with their onboarding period, avoiding a gap that would require you to defer the offer or lose authorization entirely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Medical Doctors?
AccentCare's documented sponsorship activity for Medical Doctor roles centers on immigrant pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa. H-1B visa sponsorship is not prominently reflected in their recent sponsorship history for this role, so confirm directly with the recruiter whether H-1B applies to a specific opening before assuming it's available.
How do I apply for Medical Doctor jobs at AccentCare?
Search AccentCare's careers portal for physician or medical director roles in home health and hospice. When you apply, be upfront about your visa status in your cover letter or application. You can also browse AccentCare's sponsored Medical Doctor openings through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where international candidates are eligible.
Which visa types does AccentCare commonly use for Medical Doctor roles?
AccentCare sponsors Medical Doctor candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. For nonimmigrant options, they've supported F-1 OPT and CPT for physicians in training or early-career stages, and TN classification for Canadian and Mexican physicians whose specialty appears on the USMCA qualifying occupations list.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect for Medical Doctor roles?
AccentCare expects candidates to hold an MD or DO degree, ECFMG certification if trained outside the U.S., and an active state medical license in the state where the role is based. For hospice and home health physician positions, prior experience in palliative care, geriatrics, or community-based medicine is a strong differentiator. Board certification in a relevant specialty strengthens your application significantly.
How long does the sponsorship process typically take for a Medical Doctor at AccentCare?
Timeline depends on the visa type. TN classification for Canadian and Mexican physicians can be obtained at the border or port of entry in a single day. EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM typically runs 12 to 24 months from the time AccentCare initiates the DOL labor certification, not counting USCIS petition processing afterward. Start the conversation about visa pathway early in the offer negotiation.
