Get your credentials evaluated before applying
Foreign nursing education must be evaluated by a CGFNS-approved organization before most U.S. employers will move forward. AccentCare operates in states with varying licensure requirements, so confirm your RN license is valid or pending in your target state before submitting applications.
Target AccentCare's home health and hospice openings
AccentCare's sponsorship activity is concentrated in direct patient care roles, not administrative positions. Focus your search on home health RN, case manager, and hospice nurse listings, where the clinical need is consistent and employer investment in sponsorship is more justified.
Understand the EB-3 PERM timeline for nursing roles
Registered Nurses typically come through on EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which requires PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition. The full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval commonly runs two to four years, depending on your country of birth.
Use Migrate Mate to filter AccentCare RN jobs by visa type
Not every AccentCare posting will explicitly state sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter Registered Nurse openings at AccentCare by the visa categories they actively support, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than assumed.
Clarify OPT and CPT terms during the offer conversation
If you're on F-1 OPT, AccentCare will need to participate in E-Verify to employ you legally. Raise this during the offer stage, not after signing, and confirm whether they can bridge you to a long-term sponsorship pathway before your OPT authorization window closes.
Ask about the TN visa pathway if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Registered Nurses from Canada and Mexico may qualify for TN status, which is faster to obtain than an EB-3 Green Card and doesn't require PERM labor certification. Confirm the specific documentation AccentCare's HR team needs, as TN for RNs requires proof of licensure and a valid job offer letter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
AccentCare's primary sponsorship pathway for Registered Nurses is employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, not H-1B visa. The H-1B is rarely used for bedside nursing roles because Registered Nurse positions are classified as specialty occupations on a case-by-case basis and subject to the annual lottery cap. International nurses at AccentCare more commonly come through EB-3 PERM sponsorship or, if eligible, TN visa status.
Which visa types are commonly used for Registered Nurse roles at AccentCare?
AccentCare supports EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card sponsorship for Registered Nurses, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for nursing graduates still within their authorized training period. Canadian and Mexican citizens may also be eligible for TN status. The EB-3 category with PERM labor certification is the most common long-term pathway for internationally trained RNs at employers like AccentCare.
What qualifications and experience does AccentCare expect for Registered Nurse roles?
AccentCare typically requires an active RN license in the state where you'll practice, along with at least one year of clinical experience in a relevant care setting such as home health, hospice, or med-surg. For internationally educated nurses, CGFNS credential evaluation and NCLEX-RN passage are standard prerequisites. Some specialty roles, particularly in palliative care or case management, expect additional certifications or a BSN.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at AccentCare?
You can browse open Registered Nurse positions at AccentCare on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. When applying directly, tailor your resume to the specific care setting listed in the posting, home health and hospice roles at AccentCare have distinct documentation and communication expectations that differ from hospital-based nursing.
How do I think about the timeline for AccentCare's Green Card sponsorship process?
The EB-3 PERM process involves three sequential stages: DOL labor market testing and PERM certification, USCIS I-140 immigrant petition approval, and then the visa number queue before you can file for adjustment of status. Each stage has its own processing window, and nurses born in high-demand countries like the Philippines or India may face extended waits in the priority date backlog. Starting this conversation with AccentCare's HR team at the offer stage, not after onboarding, is critical to setting realistic expectations.
