Tips for Finding RN Home Health Jobs at BayCare Health System
Obtain CGFNS Certification Before Applying
Florida nursing licensure requires credential verification through CGFNS or an equivalent foreign credential evaluation. Complete this before submitting applications so BayCare's recruiters can confirm your eligibility for RN licensure without delays that stall sponsorship conversations.
Target BayCare's Home Health Division Directly
BayCare's home health arm operates somewhat separately from its acute care hospitals. Search for postings under BayCare HomeCare specifically, since those hiring managers control headcount and sponsorship decisions independently from the broader hospital network.
Clarify Visa Pathway Fit During the Interview
BayCare sponsors multiple visa categories for nursing roles. Ask the recruiter early whether they're filing under H-1B, TN, or initiating a PERM-based Green Card process, since each has different timelines and your current status may make one more practical than another.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring RN Roles
Not every RN Home Health listing at BayCare will specify sponsorship eligibility upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for BayCare roles verified for sponsorship, so you're applying to openings where the pathway is already confirmed rather than asking cold.
Understand How Home Health Affects H-1B LCA Requirements
Home health roles involve patient visits across multiple ZIP codes, which can trigger DOL worksite rules under the Labor Condition Application. Confirm with BayCare's immigration team whether they file a blanket LCA covering the service territory or require location-specific filings.
Align Your Application Timeline With USCIS Processing Windows
If you're targeting an H-1B, the annual cap lottery closes in March with an October 1 start date. Build your BayCare application timeline backward from that deadline so your offer letter and petition are ready before registration opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BayCare Health System sponsor H-1B visas for RN Home Healths?
Yes, BayCare Health System sponsors H-1B visas for nursing roles including RN Home Health positions. As a large healthcare employer, BayCare works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying nurses. You'll need an active Florida RN license, a qualifying specialty occupation job offer, and a certified Labor Condition Application filed with the DOL before USCIS can process the petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for RN Home Health roles at BayCare Health System?
BayCare sponsors several visa categories for nursing roles. H-1B is common for nurses with a U.S. bachelor's in nursing. EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories are used for permanent residence pathways, typically requiring a PERM labor certification through DOL. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican RNs. J-1 visa and F-1 OPT are also recognized, though the practical fit depends on your current status and the role's requirements.
How do I apply for RN Home Health jobs at BayCare Health System?
Applications go through BayCare's careers portal at baycare.org/careers. Search for RN Home Health or BayCare HomeCare postings and apply directly. You can also browse verified RN Home Health openings at BayCare that are flagged for visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters roles specifically for international candidates and confirms sponsorship eligibility before you apply.
What qualifications does BayCare expect for RN Home Health candidates?
BayCare typically requires an active Florida RN license or eligibility for licensure, at least one year of clinical nursing experience, and a valid driver's license since the role involves traveling between patient homes. Home health or med-surg experience is preferred. International nurses need to complete a foreign credential evaluation through CGFNS or an approved equivalent before NCLEX eligibility and licensure can be confirmed.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an RN Home Health role at BayCare?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. An H-1B cap-subject petition follows the annual lottery cycle, so from offer to work authorization can take six to twelve months. A PERM-based Green Card process runs longer, often two to four years from labor certification through I-140 approval and visa availability. TN visas for Canadian or Mexican RNs can be processed at the border in days. USCIS premium processing is available for some petition types if faster adjudication is needed.
