ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Marketing team encompasses Customer Marketing across the system for AC, Direct, and Network segments. Our efforts and responsibilities are owning all marketing communications (email, in-product, push notifications, SMS) as soon as our customers have access to our products. We partner cross-functionally with the revenue organization, growth marketing, product marketing, and product management in particular to drive an excellent customer journey. Our unified functional efforts are designed to drive revenue growth and increase customer LTV through adoption of the full suite of BILL products (including our payments hierarchy, lending, upsell and cross-sell).
Our Customer Marketing, Payments team is looking to add a Customer Growth Marketing candidate who is highly organized and eager to manage customer growth campaigns for Payment products. Do you have a very keen eye for detail, a passion for optimization, and an analytical mindset to drive data-driven change? Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the growth of an already successful SaaS business?
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-channel lifecycle campaigns (email, in-product guides, webinars, landing pages) to drive adoption, engagement, and growth across AP and ad-valorem payments products.
- Own day-to-day campaign execution in tools like Inflection, Pendo, etc. — including audience segmentation, targeting rules, QA, and launch.
- Maintain clean campaign operations by managing lists and suppressions, ensuring accurate attribution, and partnering with Analytics/MarTech on data and tracking needs.
- Support multi-product and portfolio-level payments campaigns by building targeted journeys that move customers into the next best product or feature.
- Partner with Product, PMM, Growth, and Post-sales/RevOps to align customer marketing programs with product roadmaps and business goals, translating objectives into concrete journeys and test plans.
- Analyze and report on campaign and channel performance using Tableau, Mixpanel, and Inflection; identify insights, recommend optimizations, and propose A/B tests that improve core KPIs (activation rate, TPV, adoption, retention).
- Collaborate with Analytics/Data Science and MarTech to refine reporting, define metrics, and unblock data/field issues that limit targeting, measurement, or scale.
- Capture and communicate campaign learnings — what worked and what didn’t — and recommend clear next steps to improve and scale future programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years of experience in customer, lifecycle, or growth marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech.
- Hands-on experience building and executing email and lifecycle campaigns in a marketing automation platform.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, or similar to evaluate performance and identify next best tests or optimizations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines with high attention to detail and strong QA habits.
- Clear, concise communicator who can collaborate effectively with Product, PMM, Analytics, and Post-sales.
- Experience with payments or financial products (e.g., AP, cards, international payments, cash management, or ad-valorem revenue models) is a strong plus.
- Comfortable designing and interpreting A/B tests and experiments (control vs. treatment, KPI selection, run-time, and success criteria).
- Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, moves quickly, and can independently drive campaigns from idea to launch with minimal oversight.
- Cares deeply about customer experience, with a bias to put the customer lens on copy, journeys, and experiment design.
- Commuting distance to our San Jose, CA headquarters or Draper, Utah office.
COMPENSATION
- San Jose pay range: $84,900 - $101,400 USD
- Draper UT pay range: $72,000 - $86,100 USD

Job Roles at BILL Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in BILL Visa Sponsorship USA
Target engineering and product roles first
BILL's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical functions like software engineering and product development. Focusing your search on these teams gives you the strongest chance of landing a role where visa sponsorship is a standard part of the hiring process.
Position yourself around fintech domain knowledge
BILL operates at the intersection of financial operations and software. Applicants who demonstrate familiarity with payments infrastructure, spend management, or SMB financial workflows stand out in a field where domain expertise accelerates hiring decisions.
Browse verified sponsorship history before applying
Not every job posting makes sponsorship eligibility clear upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm BILL is actively sponsoring for the role type you're pursuing before investing time in the application.
Prepare for a structured, multi-stage interview process
BILL's technical interviews follow a structured format typical of mid-size fintech companies. Allocate enough preparation time for system design and coding rounds, and be ready to discuss how your background fits their payments or spend management product stack.
Apply early in the calendar year if you need H-1B sponsorship
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on OPT or another status, align your BILL job search timeline so an offer can be secured with enough lead time to complete the sponsorship process.

Does BILL sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, BILL sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so across technical and product roles. The company is an active sponsor in the fintech space, making it a reliable target for candidates on OPT or those who need H-1B cap sponsorship. Confirming sponsorship availability for a specific role with the recruiter early in the process is always recommended.
Which roles at BILL are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Software engineering, product management, and data-focused roles represent the strongest sponsorship activity at BILL. These functions align directly with the company's core technology platform and drive the majority of its skilled worker visa filings. Roles in business operations or sales are less commonly sponsored, so candidates in those areas should clarify eligibility with recruiters upfront.
Does BILL sponsor Green Cards for employees?
Yes, BILL sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories. This makes it a strong long-term option for international professionals seeking permanent residency in the U.S. Green Card sponsorship typically follows a period of employment and is not guaranteed at the point of hire, so it's worth discussing the company's policy during the offer stage.
How do I find open jobs at BILL that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists open roles at verified sponsoring employers like BILL, allowing you to filter specifically for positions where sponsorship has been confirmed based on real filing history. This saves time compared to sifting through postings that don't disclose sponsorship eligibility. Once you identify a relevant role, apply directly and confirm your visa situation with the recruiter during the initial screen.
How do I approach the application process at BILL as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status early, ideally in the initial recruiter screen, so BILL's HR team can confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role. Emphasize technical skills and any fintech or payments-related experience in your application materials. BILL's hiring process typically includes multiple technical rounds, so building in adequate preparation time and aligning your timeline with H-1B filing deadlines if applicable will strengthen your candidacy.
