The Böhme Sisters

Böhme was founded by Vivien and Fernanda Böhme, two sisters from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil who immigrated to the United States as young girls. With the usual struggles of an immigrant family, work was inevitable from an early age. Their strong work ethic, dedication, and passion for success lead to them opening Böhme in 2006 at just 23 & 24 years old. Böhme is led by Vivien’s mind for business as CEO and Fernanda’s eye for design as Creative Director. Today we have store locations across the western US and employ over 200 women.

About the role

An outgoing, professional Operations Manager to work in conjunction with the Store Manager to maintain excellent customer service, merchandise presentation, loss prevention, and operation assignments as outlined by the Store Manager and Field Leadership. Ability to process and distribute products between the Corporate Warehouse and the designated store location, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

- Move product/supplies from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, and color or product code.
- Ensure accuracy of transfer documentation to and from store location and warehouse or other store locations.
- Help in the merchandising and floor stocking as needed.
- Steam, hang, or fold merchandise before putting it out on the floor.
- Ensure the stock room is accessible and safe for employee traffic.
- Mark materials with identifying information using an appropriate method (tagging).
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Sweep, dust, mop, and other housekeeping duties of backroom and sales floor.
- Always keep and organize the stock room and work area for cleanliness and free of debris.
- Communicate merchandise and supply needs with the store and corporate management to ensure proper merchandise levels and supplies in conjunction with the store manager to avoid additional deliveries.
- Responsibility for all store opening and closing procedures, including taking cash deposits to the bank.
- Customer service. Provide Gold Star service to all customers and lead the team in sales.
- Lead the team by achieving sales goals and KPI benchmarks.
- Cash register efficiency. Including cash handling, discounts, exchanges and returns.
- Product receiving, processing, inventory control, and product merchandising.
- Complete price adjustments and markdown processes.
- Uphold loss prevention standards and secure store assets and property of böhme.
- Report any customer or employee concerns/incidents to Store Manager.
- Participation in leadership development programs, meetings, and completion of training materials.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Excellent organization, verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work POS, and other store computer applications.
- Excel at time management and multi-tasking.
- Ability to count and perform simple math.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Must regularly lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and or move 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move objects that weigh more than 75 or more pounds.
- Specific vision abilities are required for this job which includes close vision, distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
