Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Field Representative Jobs at Boston Scientific Jobs
Align your degree to the role
Boston Scientific Field Representative roles typically require a life sciences, biomedical, or engineering degree. Before applying, confirm your credentials map directly to the specialty division you're targeting, since H-1B specialty occupation eligibility hinges on that specific degree-to-job alignment.
Target divisions with active hiring cycles
Boston Scientific hires Field Representatives across cardiology, urology, and endoscopy with different regional rhythms. Search DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures to identify which product divisions have filed LCAs most recently, then focus your outreach there.
Get clinical exposure before your interview
Hiring managers for medical device field roles consistently weight OR and clinical setting experience. Shadowing a current device rep or completing a clinical rotation strengthens your candidacy and signals you can handle the procedural environment from day one.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in recruiter calls
Boston Scientific uses a structured recruiting process with multiple screening rounds. Raise your visa status in the first recruiter conversation, not after an offer, so the hiring team can loop in their immigration team and confirm H-1B or EB sponsorship eligibility for the specific role and location.
Understand the PERM timeline for permanent residency
If your goal is a Green Card via EB-2 or EB-3, PERM labor certification typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even sees the petition. Ask Boston Scientific's HR team at offer stage whether they initiate PERM sponsorship for Field Representatives and when in tenure they typically begin.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles
Field Representative openings at Boston Scientific vary by territory and product line and can open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter Boston Scientific roles by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying to positions where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed.

Find Field Representative at Boston Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Field Representatives?
Yes, Boston Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for Field Representative roles. Because this position qualifies as a specialty occupation, requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a related field like biomedical engineering or life sciences, it meets the core H-1B eligibility criteria. Sponsorship availability can vary by division and territory, so confirm with the recruiter during your first screening call.
Which visa types does Boston Scientific commonly use for Field Representative roles?
Boston Scientific primarily sponsors H-1B visas for Field Representatives entering the U.S. on a nonimmigrant basis. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, the company supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, typically initiated after a qualifying period of employment. The EB-3 route is the most common for field commercial roles given the standard degree and experience requirements.
What qualifications and experience does Boston Scientific expect for Field Representatives?
Boston Scientific Field Representatives are expected to hold a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, biomedical, or related technical field. Prior clinical exposure, such as experience in an operating room or hospital environment, is a strong differentiator. Some divisions, particularly cardiology and neuromodulation, prefer candidates who have completed internships or clinical rotations in relevant procedural settings.
How do I apply for Field Representative jobs at Boston Scientific?
You can browse open Field Representative positions on Boston Scientific's careers portal and apply directly. To filter specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which surfaces Boston Scientific Field Representative openings where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed. Apply early in each hiring cycle since territory-based roles fill on a rolling basis and are often location-specific.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Boston Scientific role?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a lottery held each April for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, Boston Scientific may file a cap-exempt petition if you qualify, or bridge your status another way. Build at least six months of lead time into your job search to align an offer with the USCIS registration window and avoid gaps in work authorization.
