Frame your credentials around clinical sales
Boston Scientific prioritizes candidates who can speak to clinical environments. Translate your background into patient outcomes and procedure-level knowledge. Certifications in relevant device categories strengthen your case before you apply.
Target territory roles in high-volume markets
Boston Scientific's Sales hiring concentrates in major metro markets with dense hospital networks. Focus your search on cardiovascular, urology, and endoscopy divisions, where field rep turnover creates consistent openings for sponsored candidates.
Align your job title to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For Sales positions, a degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or business with a technical focus supports that classification. Confirm the alignment with your hiring manager early.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Boston Scientific posts Sales roles across multiple channels, but not all listings signal sponsorship intent. Search Boston Scientific's open Sales positions on Migrate Mate to surface roles from employers with confirmed sponsorship histories in this function.
Time your application around fiscal hiring cycles
Boston Scientific typically ramps Sales hiring in Q1 and Q3 to align with budget cycles. Applying in those windows improves your odds of landing an offer before the H-1B registration period opens each March, maximizing your shot at cap inclusion.
Confirm LCA filing timelines before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Ask the recruiting team whether immigration counsel is already retained, since LCA preparation can add several weeks to the pre-filing timeline.

Find Sales at Boston Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Boston Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, particularly in specialized divisions like cardiovascular, urology, and endoscopy where technical expertise is a core requirement. Sponsorship is most consistently extended to roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, typically requiring a degree in a field directly relevant to the products being sold.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Boston Scientific?
You can apply directly through Boston Scientific's careers portal or browse their open Sales positions on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles at companies with active sponsorship histories. Before applying, align your resume to the specific product division you're targeting, since hiring teams in cardiovascular versus endoscopy look for different clinical and territory backgrounds.
Which visa types does Boston Scientific commonly use for Sales roles?
Boston Scientific primarily uses the H-1B visa for Sales hires requiring sponsorship. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, the company supports employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3, which involve a PERM labor certification filed with DOL. Sales roles with strong technical degree requirements tend to fit EB-2 classification, while broader commercial roles often fall under EB-3.
What qualifications are expected for Sales roles at Boston Scientific?
Most Sales roles at Boston Scientific require a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, biomedical, or business-related field, along with demonstrated experience in a clinical or medical device sales environment. For sponsored positions, your degree field needs to align directly with the product category, since that connection supports the specialty occupation determination USCIS evaluates during H-1B adjudication.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Boston Scientific Sales role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions follow a fixed annual cycle: registration opens in March, the lottery runs shortly after, and employment can begin October 1 if selected. Securing an offer from Boston Scientific by February gives you enough lead time for LCA filing with DOL and petition preparation before the registration window opens. If you're already on a valid status like OPT or a cap-exempt visa, you may have more flexibility on timing.
