Frame your credentials around U.S. PE licensure
Brown and Caldwell's senior project roles in environmental and water consulting frequently require or prefer a Professional Engineer license. If yours is from outside the U.S., start the comity application process early so licensure doesn't become a bottleneck during offer negotiations.
Target offices with active infrastructure project backlogs
Brown and Caldwell staffs project managers against active contracts, not headcount plans. Research which regional offices have recently won large municipal or federal water infrastructure contracts, then apply to those locations where hiring pressure is highest.
Position your resume around delivered project outcomes
Consulting firms evaluate senior candidates on scope, budget, and client relationship ownership, not just technical skills. Quantify the project values you've managed and name the client sectors to signal you can step into a billable leadership role immediately.
Clarify H-1B specialty occupation alignment during interviews
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations with a direct degree-to-job connection. For senior project management roles at an engineering consultancy, make sure the job description explicitly ties the position to your engineering or environmental science degree, not just management experience.
Understand the PERM timeline before accepting an offer
If Brown and Caldwell offers Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, PERM labor certification with DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before the I-140 petition can be filed. Negotiate a clear sponsorship commitment in writing before you sign, not after your first performance review.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Brown and Caldwell posts senior project management openings across multiple U.S. regions. Use Migrate Mate to filter active listings specifically by the visa categories they sponsor, so you're only spending time on roles where your work authorization situation is already a fit.

Find Senior Project Management at Brown and Caldwell JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brown and Caldwell sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Brown and Caldwell has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for qualified candidates in technical and project management roles. Because senior project management at an engineering consultancy ties directly to specialized engineering or environmental science degrees, these positions generally meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. Confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process, since it can vary by office and project backlog.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Brown and Caldwell?
You can find and apply for Senior Project Management openings at Brown and Caldwell through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can quickly identify roles that match your work authorization needs. Applications go through Brown and Caldwell's own careers portal, and the process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical interviews, and a final conversation with a regional or discipline leader.
Which visa types does Brown and Caldwell commonly use for Senior Project Management roles?
Brown and Caldwell sponsors H-1B visas for candidates already in the U.S., TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations, and F-1 OPT or CPT for recent graduates transitioning into full-time roles. For long-term employment, the company also supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which involve PERM labor certification filed with DOL.
What qualifications does Brown and Caldwell expect for Senior Project Management roles?
Most Senior Project Management positions at Brown and Caldwell require a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with significant experience managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure or environmental consulting projects. A Professional Engineer license is frequently preferred or required. Strong client-facing experience and familiarity with water, wastewater, or environmental remediation sectors are consistent expectations across their senior project management postings.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Project Management hire at Brown and Caldwell?
For H-1B transfers, the timeline is relatively short if you're already in H-1B status, sometimes just a few weeks with premium processing through USCIS. New H-1B cap filings require waiting for the annual lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process, with DOL labor certification alone averaging 12 to 18 months before petitioning begins.
